I voted in terms of footballing quality and not in terms of how important the goal is... So my pick is the one against West Brom. For a slight moment when he scored, I was mistaken that it was Torres or Gerrard who scored, but sure as hell it was Dirk, and what a goal it was. Great run and great finish.

The bloke has scored 10 goals this year, 9 of them in the league and is our second highest scorer behind Torres with 12 league goals. I think he deserves a little more appreciation than he usually gets, especially when he has an off day or two.

An off day or two being the understatement of the week!

Getting into double figures is decent, but I will say again, in the long term, as in the next 12 months with hopefully more signings, he should be used as a squad rotated player.

    For technique, West Ham away.

    For importance, Standard Liege qualifier.

He does seem to have a knack for scoring important goals in big games.

i like his recent goal against tottenham where he just placed it into the back of the net from 20 yards out, but i remember he has scored a few goals from volleys and tight angles that i have liked, i also remeber the brace he scored against everton in the derby a couple of season back but i think they were both penaltys

One that stuck out for me was the goals against Arsenal in the first round knock out, not a pretty goal by all means just brought us into that game big time.

Unlikely to have been Torres considering he played for Atletico then.

But yeah def the best goal if context is ignored

People seem to be missing the fact we are supposed to be deciding his BEST goal, not his most important or most valuable.
