I saw the new kit. I love the deep red colour. I am definitely getting a shirt. I haven't bought a proper football shirt since 2009.

Yeah, fantastic kit. Completely fine with a deeper red, gives a more retro look for the 125th anniversary, plus the fact that it's not so tight as some other ones. Will look brilliant on European nights. Not a fan of the new PL font, but that's not such an important detail. Mignolet also looked really good in his green kit.

Can't stress enough how good this kit and that jumper Klopp was wearing too. I am so going tto go get the new home kit, that grey and also the red jumper.

Watching it today it's the best I think I can remember seeing as an adult. Hope this time it's made of material that stands the test of time/dust unlike the first Warrior one which I'd have otherwise rated as second best to this one.

Loved seeing the new kit on the team today.

Can't wait to see it on some European evenings next season.

It seems a darker red than previous kits? Anyone who has one can comment on that? Seems almost more... blood red?

It is. Exactly how I described it today when I saw it up close.

It's the best red kit I've seen. I don't buy kits, ever, but even I'm tempted.

Disappointed when I tried the new shirt on this evening. After all the comments about the sizing coming up on the large size I was thinking that I will probably have to return the Large that I ordered. Unfortunately it fits me fine.

Deep red, deeper than Warrior's first effort. Material is ok - it's got the retro look but my '82 shirt feels more durable.

I seem to remember we had a similar dark red shirt back in the 90s around collymore's time

In the new blood red kit, even Lovren reminded me of Hanson swanning his way up through defence to midfield.
For me who remembered the original I found it quite emotional.

I liked the grey jumper effort Klopp was wearing too.

Which one is it as in the shop there are 2 which are similar.

Is it the training sweat zip up or the windblocker?

Your 89 shirt may be made of asbestos though lol

So the sizing is right by you?

I like the new deeper red.

I had the '88 shirt as a kid but it must have been given to charity many years ago - I was 10/11 so no chance it would fit me but I wish I still had it. It's one of the few shirts that haven't yet been released as part of the retro series. Not sure why as it would be massively in demand.

I understand making the shirts lightweight and presumably of a material similar to that worn by the players but I have no delusions about joining them on the pitch so I'd like a shirt which was a bit more durable - much like the actual shirts used to be before they decided to make them as hi-tech and performance-enhancing as possible. Maybe release two options? One if you want to play 90 minutes in it, one for casual wear with jeans?

As for the sizing I would say the Large came up slightly bigger than the others I have in Large but regrettably I still filled it ok!

This is the best kit we've ever had in the premier league era.

Its comparable to some of the Crown Paints kits of the 80's and is right up there with them as the very best.

I've heard fans of other clubs say how sharp this kit looks and they're a bit jealous.

Retro is the style of Liverpool. Sales of this kit are going to go through the roof.

I think the version sold to fans is a replica anyway?

I don't wear footy colours anymore, so not really an issue for me. I stopped playing 5-a-side after I blew my knee one too many times and the surgeon told me to stop, and being in my mid-30's, there's never a time I think of wearing jeans and a LFC top, so not really an issue for me.

I do like a lot of the training stuff that's out now.

What's a good fit for this top... I'm relatively a large to xl in t shirts though that's because I like baggy?

I have a 41/42" chest...am 6' and a bit out of shape and the Large fits no problem (if anything the cut is slightly generous but I suspect a medium would be too small). It fits loosely on me so if you're of a similar build I would say it's the one to go for if you like it a bit loose.

Another attempt to honour our first kit. But less busy than the mixed up warrior attempt! They always try to avoid using a proper blue colour though.

I'd probably have to see that in the cold light of day, it looks ok but it looked better in the mock ups.

Mind you the new red one in the cold light of day looks even better than it did.

I really liked this years but now it will be consigned to the cupboard with my other footie shirts. Crazy
