Thread for the new season.
It will be an easy season for Bayern.
They have Neuer, Hummels, Boateng.
The best defence ever.
Damn right, Ancelotti is taking over quite a machine. When was the last time someone took over a team in such a good place?
Sport director Matthias Sammer (48) is going to leave Bayern.
He was Klopp's hardest rival in Bundesliga.
Which countries do Borussia Dortmund do their pre-season?
What about any of the German TIA members with their respective Bundesliga teams, where do they play in the pre-season?
Xabi Alonso mentioned about them being at the States playing against Real Madrid and so on...
Öhm no... Dortmund is in China.
They are in China to play against the mancs,
sry i have to post this link, couldn´t find another in english
( i hope i´m not getting banned for doing this )
Oh no you won't get banned for posting that link. I was wondering and hoping that BvB would do a pre season match in England one day. Would love to see them play in England in pre- season. I hope BvB beat Man Utd well.
when is that match on ? Will try and watch it via internet.
Thanks Livvy and Eddie
I found another link with some dates :
But the time is Chinatime... so i have really no idea exactly
Not sure if anyone's interested...but FC Cologne are, rather unglamourusly, spending some time in Austria, but one of the matches is against Juventus Turin, so that ain't too shabby...
Danke Livvy . I will check it out.
I don't think Austria is unglamourous, it has beautiful scenery.
@Cologne-Liverpool , I am guessing Jonas Hector is still at Cologne.
That's true. And they are staying at Kitzbühel which I guess is a pretty high-society spot - so maybe more glamourous after all.
Probably has more to do with the fact that our coach/manager is Austrian...and it's relatively nearby..
Well, we have some nice scenery too Yup, still with us, rumours about him signing a contract until 2021 so he must like it here...
I know, I have been to Germany many times years ago, my Dad used to drive to Europe alot, loved the Black Forest, it is so peaceful and relaxing. I remember the famous Koln cathedral too. Also, I remember watching Starskey and Hutch (US tv police show) dubbed in German!
Forgot to say Bayern.
Us to play Chelski on Sunday. Snoozefest predicted. Rather going to walk the dogs around the stadium.
Tomorrow the first title is possible.
Bayern vs. Dortmund
• Hummels to oppose Aubameyang for first time in a competitive fixture.
• Talented BVB teenager Dembele set for debut in German football.
• Bartra tasked with taming Lewandowski in his first taste of the German game.
Looking forward to Dortmund's coming season, Tuchel is a very interesting young manager and they've made some good transfers this summer, plenty of talent. Attractive to follow how they evolve.
Yeah, I'll look out for them as well. Very exciting moment for them, despite losing their spine during the summer. They'll need some time yet to integrate the new players, but could become a fantastic side to watch again.
ZDF and Sky show the game live.
Start is ca. 8.15 pm (german time).
ZDF sends live stream in internet as well.
Burki, Passlack, Sokratis, Bartra, Schmelzer, Rode, Castro, Ramos, Kagawa, Dembele, Aubameyang
Neuer, Lahm, Martinez, Hummels, Alaba, Alonso, Vidal, Thiago, Muller, Ribery, Lewandowski
Full stadium in Dortmund. All tickets sold.
I want to see Götze against Hummels!
Tuchel lets 2 strikers play? Against Bayern? Ancelotti will beat him then.
Ramos has started on the right it seems.
Why does Hummels play RCB alongside Martinez?
Sorry, quick question, what is the England's equivalent to the German Supercup? Is it like the charity shield or something?
Yes. Game between winner of league and cup.
Disappointing game. Dortmund looked good in the first half and would have deserved something, but they were kept out by good defending and Neuer (who would have guessed that, uh?).
Then they went stale, and Bayern took over and gradually wiped out that enthousiastic young Dortmund team, scoring the goals when it mattered. Ice-cold, efficient, controlled.
Typical Ancelotti: Veni, Vidi, Vinci (with an eyebrow raised).
What happens with your team today? Too easy 3 points for f... Bayern.
Separate names with a comma.
