No, they've never been top 4. They were top for some 10 games and then drop off. Their highest Premier League finish was 7th or 8th.

2005, they made it to Europe under then not quite as Fat Sam, finished 6th and in fact level on points with LFC. I don't recall how high they were at their peak during the season.

I think it was 7th mate. We finished 5th and we got into Champs League because we beat Milan convincingly (lol) and League Cup held by Chelsea. That opens up 6th and 7th for Europa Cup, or UEFA Cup.

Boro was 7th that year, they made it to the UEFA Cup final the next season - leading eventually to Dutch Shteve being the England manager.

Sorry, got my numbers wrong... didn't know Spurs and Newcastle were all that shit, didn't even make the cut. And yes, there is no Man City at that time too. Been putting those other clubs in my head.

Kind of surprised they have done it, issues around finance.

Exciting last day, with both Forest and Blackburn under threat. Remarkable that Forest has gone from a team that was 3:2 for promotion 5 years ago to needing a win to stay in the Championship. Blackburn, by way of their owners, are less surprising. Blackburn down by a goal difference of one right now.

A Bristol goal would send Birmingham down instead. Dismissing Rowett will look one of the worst decisions an owner has ever made - from playoff spots to relegation in less than 6 months.

So Blackburn will be relegated because Huddersfield made 10 changes to their match v Birmingham and virtually threw the match away

Three poorly run clubs battling relegation

Or alternatively because all 3 clubs are poorly run and have been shit all season, reminds me of Warnock moaning about us playing a weakened side when he done the same at Man Utd earlier in the season.

    Praying and hoping.

Start of the season do it every year 3 teams to go up. Huddersfield, Sheffield united and Portsmouth 75/1. Got close once before and Leeds let me down.

    Come on the terriers.

    Good Luck

I would like Huddersfield to head up anyhow, I think it could be any 4, 3 of them are pretty decent football sides so lets hope Wednesday don't come up, they are dire 1-0 champions.

I'll be supporting the Yorkshire side of the bracket solely on the basis of not adding another trip to London to the schedule.

A mate of mine put a £2 accumulator on Chelsea, Newcastle, Sheffield United and Portsmouth to win their respective divisions. So far he's cashed out about £800.

Forest Green Rovers are finally in the Football League.

Shame it was at the expense of Tranmere but fills a gap at that side of the country.

After Fulham's season I was kind of routing for them, then again I've not been to Reading before so might try for a lower league game.

Surprised Fulham are out. Apparently best team in the division since late Oct/November.

Ward saving two penalties, would prefer Huddersfield to come up now over Reading. Get somebody different in the league as opposed to a yoyo club. Might be able to get a few more of our lads a loan down there.

His performance really makes me wonder if he will be a factor at LFC next year.

Unless Karius wants out, would we have him here? Mignolet presumably starts as no.1 unless Karius or Ward have an awesome pre-season. I would think see if he can have a loan in Premier League and reassess following season?

I can see a competition in summer training, with the #3 going out on loan.

I doubt it. Mignolet has played well of late and I suspect Klopp still sees Karius as the long term number one. Another year at Huddersfield would do him no harm, hopefully in the PL as it will be interesting to see how he copes when faced with better quality and a higher volume of shots.
