We've already turned down a loan offer for Wilson from Celtic, word is Klopp wants him to keep him around next season.

Crisp finish from our new prodigy Solanke!

But I have to admit, it was a sublime pass from captain cook (?).

Just scored again for England in the U20 World Cup semi-final against Italy and has apparently looked the best player on the pitch.

    Solanke has scored again!
It's 1-1 against italy now, after 72 minutes.
Show them how it's done, Dominic!

I'm not watching btw, just some live text.

England now leading. Lookman with second and both goals came from Ojo crosses.

Well well. I wonder whether we've snagged ourselves a bit of a bargain here.

By the way, slow down Dominic lad, we've still got that tribunal coming up...

Meh...the chelsea fans would tell us they are glad he is gone. Because Roman could buy them 30 forwards better than him.
Someone who came through their own ranks surely can't be good enough for them.

    No, shouldn't.
Him and Ojo coming back as world cup winners would be great for their confidence :-)

Can only go by the comments I've seen (mostly sourced from the Guardian comments section), but from those they've mostly been disappointed to see him go and a bit frustrated at their club for not giving youth more of a chance.

1 goal in the quarters, 2 in the semis, can only mean 3 in the final...right?

I know this is Solanke thread, but for those who didn't watch the match you might like to know that Ojo was described by the commentator as "outstanding" in the second half when he came on as a sub.

It feels weird watching watching a game involving LFC players that's happening in my time zone!

Solanke 2 goals today... I say we trust in Klopp.

Can't believe some of the comments regarding transfers etc - just get behind Klopp and the team, everything's gonna be alright....

Like we can talk. Ojo was apparently phenomenal in that match, we have Woodburn who has bags of potential, TAA, and a young keeper in Danny Ward who's doing brilliantly as well. But we're intent on big names coming in on an annual basis (granted we never see said big names!) and young players end up rotting on the vine here and having their careers stagnated - or more honestly ruined. Lost count of the amount of future stars we had in the ranks who ended up twiddling their thumbs until they were in their 20s before moving on to lower league sides rather than the heights that were predicted.

Ojo completely changed the game when he came on. England doesn't win without his immediate impact. He was constantly causing problems, hit the post and was putting in terrific crosses.

Meanwhile, I've been very impressed with Solanke. Obviously has an eye for goal and is productive but he has consistently impacted the game every time I've watched. One thing I really like is he seems to have a desire to become a complete player, not simply a goal scorer.

It's my belief that if you're good enough you'll make it. To an extent we overrate our youth players because they never go on to reach the top when they leave. You say it's because we've let them stagnate and ruin them. I think it's that they weren't good enough in the first place. Owen and Gerrard didn't do anything different to the other players, they were just so good you couldn't ignore them.

Too early to say how Solanke will progress, but promising sign so far in his career.

Yet according to some, this young fella's signing was "underwhelming" FFS. before he even walked in the foot door at Melwood.

We truly do live in a society of immediate gratification, because we're all to aware now of how our high-profile signings such as VVD worked out this year....

From that video, I'm every bit as excited for Ojo as I am Solanke - those two crosses for the first two goals were tasty.
