Thats good, I would rather see them crying like little bitches after losing the final in a penalty shoot-out, leaving Zlat and De Gea realising that they are wasting their time with this clown of a manager and shitbag of a cluband deciding to both piss off in the summer.

Besides, I think both Ajax and Lyon are capable of beating this pissant team in a 1 off final, Celta I know nothing about, so not sure if they have a squad able to beat them in a 1 off game

One thing we know for sure is that Celta will be playing their absolute best squad, and fielding the kids in La Liga. They have no real chance at a European spot, sitting 10th and 8 points out of the last EL spot.

Aspas possibly against Rojo... come on Iago, torture that fool!

Would love them to go out here in extra time.

Rojo had his knee done last night, same for Ibrahimovic. So I can't see Rojo come back for the finals.

I'm seriously weighing up the pros and cons of United getting knocked out 'early'. I think Spanish teams from lower down the La Liga table are always underrated by British media/fans so it could be another nail in the coffin for the fallacy that the top names in the Premier league can put their stamp of quality on a European competition. On the other hand, why is it to our advantage in the run in for them to have no escape route? I'm as torn as a Swede's cartilage

The idea is if they get to the final, especially after having to go all out to get through the second leg of the semi, they will almost certainly have to phone it in against Southampton and Palace, thus increasing our prosecpts of getting 4th. However, hopefully by then they will have dropped a bollock or two in the run against Citeh, Arsenal and Spurs meaning I can cheer on Celta wholeheartedly and not have to worry about dropped points in those last two league games.

Bilbao done a number over them years ago. It was glorious viewing.

Definitely want Celta to beat them, we should be okay no matter how seriously they take the league. I think they'll run out of steam, can see 3 or 4 defeats before the season is over and Jose losing his shit yet again.

It's 2 more games, going extra time against Anderlecht won't help for Sunday or Wednesday.

I've not read Sky's review but I'm sure it was the heroic defeat of the European giants Anderlecht.

That's the beauty of it, 2 of their easier games (Burnley and Swansea) are either side of the City away game, before they go away to Spain. It's non-stop for them, they could easily drop points in the games they would have fancied the most, even forgetting they've got to go to North London twice around their European games.

It'll take a monumental fuck up from us or an amazing sustained run of form from them to keep up.

Or another great European nights from a great tactician who played his second tiered side (losing Rojo and Ibra) to see out the Belgian champions.

Just coming to the final whistle in the Ajax Vs Lyon game. Very impressive 4-1 Dutch victory. They'll cause the Spaniards some problems in the final;-)

Impressive Ajax win, did not expect it. Players from Ajax to watch: The goalie Onana, the two CB: Sanchez 20 years old, Colombian international and Matthijs de Ligt, 17! years old tall fast, strong bloke, already an Dutch international. Midfield: Davy Klaassen 24 years old, Dutch International and Hakim Ziyech. Up front: Dolberg, 18 years old and Klopp already knows about him and Justin Kluivert, yes the son of, 18 years old.

Stark contrast with the Juve side. Ajax fielded all kids, while Juve calling out players from retirement home.

That’s Dutch football nowadays Eddie, young players. Don’t have the money to keep them and the Eredivisie isn't what it used to be 20 years ago. Ajax, PSV and sometimes Feyenoord, that’s it, the rest is so weak they would relegate from the Championship.

Think de Ligt has a great future and would like it when Liverpool took a good look at him.

Why was this game played today? Seems odd to make it clash with the CL game?

They were worried not everyone would be watching to see Iago's double hat-trick tomorrow night.

Today at 8 p.m. we remember those who died in WWII and the Holocaust like we do every year on May the 4th. The big ceremony with the King is in the center of Amsterdam.

That was a brilliant semifinal. Shame the one tonight is almost guaranteed to be a 0-0 or 1-0 bore.

Sounds like United are having the best of it so far. Still 0-0.

Man United are really up for this, Celta goalkeeper saved three clear goals. A bit like Aspas in Premier League, Celta are outmuscled and outpaced so easily. The pitch is soaked, though, very hard to open counter-attacks for them. Pogba is immense tonight, it has to be said, a cut above the rest, he and Fellaini and brushing off opponents, it's comical at times. Celta will do well to keep this 0:0.

Celta Vigo are rubbish, slow and weak is right @Nikola. Doesn't look likely that these lot will be winning this tie.

They've beaten Barca and Real this season, apparently playing fast attacking football. Very much having an off night, by the sound of it.

Aw shucks, there goes hope it'd end 0-0. At least keep it to 1 goal so that United have to pay attention on the second leg.

Iago will strike soon, and tie things up. Don't worry.
