A big part of me really wants to like Atletico. It's an incredible story what he's done with them and so it's typical that you'd want to celebrate the underdog story. Even more so now that he's shown it actually has staying power and cannot be torn apart by the bigger clubs poaching his best players. He's got players there who individually I really like and would love to see at Liverpool - Koke or Saul would do excellent things for our midfield. Griezmann is exactly what we need in our forward line. They even have this blonde lad up top who has started looked really dangerous, and he apparently wears a YNWA armband. BUT, it only takes me 10 minutes of watching them play to absolutely hate everything about them. They are just cynical side when it comes to making a meal out of any sort of contact, which is just made all the worse by how violent they can be when they choose to be, which is pretty much at least once a game.

Top spot changing hands from early today with Real, then Atletico took over... not sure if Barcelona could do the same, Betis seems hungry.

Atletico just blew it and took themselves out of the title race.

Real Madrid also faced a very late scare there, but Rodrigo red took the sting off that game. Barcelona is quite in control going into the last game of the season.

Noticed they have moved the Valencia vs Sevilla game would be nice if our game was moved at least to Saturday to make it a bit fairer.

Considering nothing is riding on hours of much importance.

American TV are only showing the Real match, which doesnt make sense to me. Why choose to show the game that wont matter if Barca win?

BeIN has Madrid on their main English language, Barca on their main Spanish. Barcelona is also on their 10 channel in English.

Suarez' 2nd was a superb goal, great effort from Alves, superb run by Suarez. That is two goals from Suarez with perhaps 5 meters total distance covered by the ball.

That's the sort of goals you'll get plenty of playing up front for this Barca team. Just make the right runs inside the box, and the ball will find you. And that willingness he has to constantly make those runs is a big reason why he's such a good fit for them.

39 league goals. That'll be his Pichichi then. 19 assists nothing to sniff at, either.

58 and 26 in all competitions. You'd think it would become believable at some point. Hope he gets a couple in the Copa del Rey final.

Well, that's 40 then. BBC are also reporting it's 60 in all competitions.

Suarez is the single best player at the moment. Extraordinary and more than deserved, well done Louis!

(and now, if you could come back home...)

    I love barca.

I love the city, the people, the stadium, luis, Messi, the aura around the club, the background....but by god I can understand the resentment when you look at the shenanigans they resorted to with about fifteen to go....

Lads...If a players lying on the ground, you have no God given right for the oppo to put it out, especially if you do it, like, five times in five minutes.....and, more importantly, why?, just why?...you're in absolute control of the game and the league, and you risk losing a player or concentration through pure bad sportsmanship.

Given it was luis on the ground, ok, he doesn't go to ground easily...but...as a team...it's like the boy who cried wolf.....and for absolutely no reason....

Another trophy for Suarez. Barcelona mental resolve is really something. Played more than half the game with one man down, and they came up on top as soon as the numbers even out with Benega's sending off. How I wish we have that sort of mental strength in our team.

Enjoyed that. Was sort of hoping for a Sevilla win, but Barca pulled through. Superb assist by Messi for the opener; it's such an effective weapon for them when he comes in centrally and plays that ball. Hits it with incredible accuracy almost every time, just the right weight. Often it's Neymar who makes that run, but this time it was Alba. Perfect timing between the two.

After flirting all season with PSG (incl. private agreement), CR7 won't take step. After failing to find replacement, RM will renew contract

So Ronaldo stays for at least another season or two. He also gave an interview yesterday mentioning that he might retire at Real (previously said that he plans to play until he's 35).

CR7 and RM are suited for each other, not too sure if CR7 and ZZ are suited for each other

I think the rumour is that he's being lined-up to replace Blanc @ PSG.

From The Guardian rumours section ".....With Laurent Blanc resembling an extra in 28 Days Later, PSG are themselves in the market for a bit of a hot transfer action of the managerial kind, and are poised to move for Unai Emery" Sounds like Laurent has lost the plot ......
