So many players carrying minor knocks coz the f*****g referees allow the opponents to beat the hell out of our players.

I was thinking this too. Surely no coincidence given the kicking the players are getting.

Calming down... ;-).... But Matips style and presence is in my mind very like Agger.. @Nikola addressed this observation further up...

Klopp needs to politely tell the referees to start protecting our players. If not working then need to tell them harshly. Even if it leads to a fine.

Imo Klopp doesnt want another "soft german thing". Remember after the Everton game how Koeman complained about our coaches etc. Imo since that game (and in that game ) our players suffered a lot due to bad fouls etc.

Whiskey nose said Rvp could have been killed. Moan f Ho moans all the time about referees. Klopp needs to something - else i don't see it being stopped. One or 2 red card to our opponents should do the trick. When is the last time our opponent player got a red card for a bad tackle???

As said previously, Bone bruises can take several months to heal. Not sure the photo changes anything,

Fair enough. You read bruise and figure a couple of weeks at most. Must be some sort of nasty thing to still be on crutches.

Fingers crossed for at least two of Mario, JAmaican and Lucas to be fit for Sunday. One for the starting eleven and a back up for the bench.

@Nikola relax mate, remember after the game against Everton where Can got a few studs planted on his shin and ankle? He then was left out of training and everyone was up in arms about it, then match day saw him lined up against Bournemouth. Maybe Klopp wants Matip to get more rest to get his muscles all sorted fully?

Hopefully this is the case and we'll have a Firmino v the Baggies scenario where we're all worried until kick off then he ends up playing.

Something has happened to Sturridge again, imo no surprise anymore. :eh?:

Any chance of us getting a decent wad of cash for him in the summer appears to be evaporating by the week.

Yeesh. If we can't find a buyer, I wonder whether the club will try to reach a mutual termination on his contract and see both parties just walk away (or in Dan's case, limp away) from this one. Seems like it could be best to just draw a line under his time here and move on.

He's under no obligation to do so, of course, but if he does stay then I can't see him being in our plans, could even be sent on loan somewhere just to free up a spot.

I think we can and will get our money back on him at least. I certainly hope we are moving him on, and that's not a knock against him, just that its time to part ways. I won't even be too upset if he goes to a different club and has a successful, injury-free career there, as it's not just that he has ridiculous injury problems but also because he really isn't the right fit for us. Similar to Benteke in that there was a really good player there but not right for a Klopp-run LFC.

Sturridge makes Aurelio look like the Iron Man in comparison.
I really don't know what to make of it anymore.

He can't even train now without getting injured. I would be absolutely amazed if someone was willing to buy him for a substantial sum. His days as a top class player are over.

I suspect Klopp gave up on him a long time ago.

A sad end to his Liverpool days. He could have been one of the greats, instead I will think of him as one of those players that failed to kick on.

    Very sad indeed.
