So, no news on the UEFA decision yet. Looks like it'll be after the weekend now, maybe Monday or Tuesday

Nothing in the UEFA statement to explain their decision. I hope we get to see something more concrete in the coming days... if only to see whether we can hold them accountable for him missing the end of the season including the EL final and Euro 2016.

Sakho should be starting the final this weekend.

I'm genuinely surprised but delighted. As Zinny says, I hope we get a clear explanation that actually answers the questions we now all have.

Good news and will save us having to buy a replacement
Hopefully he puts this behind him and starts to get back to playing like he was before being banned last season

Any explanation from UEFA as to why they sabotaged the end of our season?

Great news but I'm reluctant to celebrate too much at the moment. If it was higemanine then the FA could still get involved but if WADA are on his side then maybe he's ok...bloody lucky if he is.

Technically decision could still also be appealed - will have to wait and see.

Fucking brilliant. Any stability and continuity heading into next season will be a massive help, not to mention that he's by far our best defender and one of the best in the league.

We got a top quality player, leader, and personality back today. I'm excited for next season.

Any talk about suing UEFA is of course weakened by the fact that it was Sakho who requested the provisional ban.

    Club statement:

Liverpool Football Club welcomes today’s decision from UEFA to dismiss the case against Mamadou Sakho, confirming that he did not commit any doping violation.

We are pleased for Mamadou that he can now resume his playing career.

Mamadou said: "I am happy that this is finally over. It’s been a difficult time for me but I knew I had done nothing wrong. I am looking forward to getting back in the team and playing again."

I feel bad for Mama, the guy missed out on the euros that his country was hosting and missed out on the cup final for us. glad the case is dismissed at last though, the lad has a huge part to play in the season to come.

sounds like the process has been an absolute joke. The substance wasn't on the banned list and nobody from WADA even turned up to the hearing- hope Mama and his team sue the fuck out of them. He's missed hugely important games for LFC and potentially winning a major international championship in his own country
