I feel that VVD has the brute strength of Goliath(although maybe samson would have been better:think:) with the sheer divine powers and saving capability of Jesus, trust me we buy VVD not only will Liverpool be saved but I would put money on humanity being saved! He is THAT good.lol

Klopp isn't a miracle worker though.
Ultimately we all know that only the perfect DM will be the true messiah - fingers crossed.

Didn't I read somewhere that VVD can play DM?lol
Naby Keita is most linked but is there any chance of it happening? RB don't seem to want to sell.

Which religious character makes the best DM?
I think John the baptist, goes around doing the dirty work so the more talented player(Jesus) can have all the glorylol

Definitely my preferred transfer target, good claim there! :well done:

(although, thinking about it... having a Balrog in goal instead of Migs would certainly strike fear in opposing strikers and make us stronger on high incoming balls and set pieces... or maybe he would be a worthy replacement for Sakho if he leaves?)

Ah bah, the next match is still far away, and something we have to talk about... lol

Think we have differing opinions on how good Sakho is. I've never considered him to be bad with us like you mention. He's always been a good CB in my eyes doing his best in a chaotic, shifting defensive unit with bad players in there. He's had the odd 1-3 disappointing games here and there after injury absences but even world class players can have that said about them. He's not world class but on ability he challenges our best CB to be first on team sheet. Any world class CB would have been unconvincing for some of our recent seasons let alone a good one. As towards the rest. Well just like Toure was a diet pill risk when we signed him due to his history so was new signing Sakho with no prior history. I think it's quite a fair point to point out a new signing carries more risk of failing to settle than an existing player. Van Dijk hasn't got an empty injury history either it's not like only Sakho can potentially miss significant time. Essentially Sakho is our player and is already a part of the club. We know (although some don't agree) on the level of quality he provides. Van Dijk is mentioned so often as he's one of very few CBS out there people can point to as a player who at least matches Sakho or seems better whilst seemingly looking available. But he'll cost up to double and he could suffer the new signing jinx that many players do and flop unexpectedly. It is a gamble and one that will cost us over 20 million to take.

We could make a habit of buying good players and loaning them to bottom half clubs to take points off our competitors.

I wonder if swapping him with Zaha is an option worth consideration?

Makes sense. They have much of their squad sorted now i guess, so could amply afford to spend big on Sakho.

Not sure i would be in favour of having two forwards who are likely to be going to the AFCON. Risks destabilising our squad.

And now Roma is about to join the race for this fella? Let the bidding war begins. All we need now is the two Chinese owned Milan clubs to come in and £25-30m is a sure thing. :well done:

For Chinese we should give some kind of discount. So lets start at 60m and close at 55m.

Arsenal could b ready to gazump Chelsea in order to get Virgil van dijk, hopefully going to be an OK Corral situation there.
Whatever the price he goes for it's going to be massive.
Sakho keeps up his form keep n Palace in the league , say VVD goes 50 60 million scouse warrior should go for 20 less.

Very interesting comments from Klopp praising Sakho, basically saying that Sakho is a great player in the system that Palace play but the coded message is pretty clear he doesnt rate him as a defender for his teams system.

    Just to clarify, yet again...
    ...does not matter.
Strawman. Again, the list is non-inclusive, and is so by design and out of necessity. Furthermore, it was fairly clear that WADA considered it a prohibited substance.

Mama's defense is seemingly that 1) it shouldn't be, and 2) WADA did not treat it as such (inconsistency across different labs). These are seeminglyu decent arguments for that, but those are ones you make before you take it, not after you get dinged for it and then are forced to try and argue why the rules are wrong.

I've heard that Arsenal are tabling an offer for "Whatever Chelsea offers. Plus £1-00".

    This could get messy.

AFCON is every two years, the next coming in 2019. Granted, it would be a challenge when that time would come but it wouldn't have to be worried about for quite some time.
