Anyone watching? I am not, but I am curious now - four at the back with Dier and Davies at the corners? Or is this the awakening of Sissoko as one of the great fullbacks?

Quite surprisingly, it is a back 5 with Sissoko on the right.

Impressive play by Tottenham in a game without much meaning. They really needed this type of stretch at the end of last season. Would have been champions. May be next season if they keep this group together and bolster it.

    Hooley dooley...

If it ain't Kane or Alli it's the Son Show.

The Kim-Chi Kid has put 20 away this year!!!

He's a great example of why patience is a virtue with players coming into this league. I thought it was a really good pick up for them when the signed him, but it's taken until this season to really validate that.

Can't see them getting close playing half their games at Wembley. They'll do well to finish higher than 5th/6th imo.

Would they be able to reduce the pitch dimensions to match WHL though? Are there rules that prevent them doing so? No logistical/operational reason why they cannot have one set of lines painted for Spurs and replace with normal dimensions for internationals...there will, after all, be more Spurs games there next season than England games.

I wonder if he's as popular back home as Park Ji-Sung was...

Kane with the hat trick. Top scorer in the league. 3 years in a row now if he keeps it to the end of the season, credit where it's due, he is a fantastic talent. Wonder how long until Spurs get raided because of their wage structure. Anyway, here's hoping that appeals to Lukaku's ego and forces a good performance from him.

Must abide by minimum pitch size which is bigger than WHL. Think Arminius said it was 105x68.

2 Ahead of Lukaku now after his 4th, but also after being out for 2 separate periods. It's almost a goal a game for him.

He also had a long dry period at the beginning of the season. He's an astonshingly good striker, makes you think about what was going through Woy's mind when he stuck Kane on corners. 27 all season in the league and he might break 30 league goals for the first time in his career. Imagine what he could do in the Spanish league...hint hint to any lurking Madrid scouts...

Thanks. So will be an issue for them at their new place also then...or rather, they will adapt their play to suit a wider pitch starting next season.

It would actually be an interesting analysis to see if teams do perform better in terms of ppg, goals per 90 etc. on different size pitches.

No - that would be against the PL rules. WHL was allowed to stay as it was because it was existing construction. If the facility permits it, the field must conform to the UEFA 105 x 68 standard, so that would be the smallest pitch allowed at Wembley.

    Call it the Stoke rule...

Different sizes can hide different weaknesses and augment strengths - Stoke's narrow pitch to turn Delap's long throws into set pieces being an extreme. It also denied quicker and more skillful teams the space to readily use those advantages. That in turn allowed Pulis to build his teams with a firm eye toward winning home games.

In the NHL, the Boston Bruins were notoriously a physical team with relatively few 'flair' players, because they played on an almost absurdly small rink.

Good grief, why? Unfathomable compared to Chelsea, and that is just among the ones in the PL right now.

Not that I like Chelsea. There's just something about Tottenham. Maybe because in the brief time I've been watching the club, they've been closer to us in the table. Edged us out for fifth a couple of years. I truly don't like it when they finish above us, because they seem more of similar means, whereas Chelsea and the like have the massive, irrational war chests.

Winning the golden boot two times in a row would be massive for kane.
The last two who did it are van persie and Henry.
And both of them were older than Kane when they did it.

The last one who managed to do it who was younger than Kane is one who should have become a LFC legend:
    Mickey Owen in 1999.

Come on Lukaku, you should not let Kane beat you in this race. Fuck Kane, he won it once already, I want to see Lukaku go for it....

I don't. And this bull won't score three vs arsenal.
While Kane is going to destroy Hull.
I know, you don't like those english fellas.
But I wouldn't bet too much money on Lukaku grabbing the golden boot in the last game.
Even if he scored two he has to share it with Kane (in case 'arry fails to net vs hull).
Maybe you can live with that.

You do realise who Lukaku is playing against this weekend and where his opponent sits in the league table yes? It has absolutely nothing to do with Kane being whatever national he is. Unlike you who sees each player based on their nationality, I based it on who would do us better favour to gain as many points as possible. Has nothing to do with who lift the damn golden boot, does nothing for me if Kane lift it even is his name is Kaninho..... See the difference?

    That was teasing.
And I know against whom they are playing.
But I can't imagine Lukaku scoring a hat-trick vs arsenal (although it would be good).
And I'm almost 100% sure we're going to win our last game and it won't matter if arsenal win or lose 5-0.
Because it's not BR at the helm anymore.
    We won't slip.

And like I said, I was teasing you. You can report me as WUM.
