If we don't pay the likes of coutinhio and Mane £150k a week they will just go somewhere else and get it. It's a sad state of affairs but that's modern football

Coutinho is on a 200K per week contract so if we started to pay him 150k I suspect you are correct he would leave.

Lingard is making £100K a week and we questioned why Coutinho is making £150K? Really?

actually some sources say 150K others say 200K so perhaps its somewhere in the middle, probably closer to 150 because those sources are more reliable.

There was no release clause in the original contract and I don't believe that there's one in the new one either.

    £150k plus £30k image rights.

Your kidding right Mane or Firmino could easily double there salary at Utd or City, Pretty sure utd would have both in a heartbeat

I'm replying to the poster who said he'd done nothing to deserve £150k a week. The echo reported it as £150k per week I'd believe them over the daily tabloids

    I'm liking the rumours today

    1) We'll go for Lacazette this summer - thumbs up
    2) We are not, never were, and never will be interested in Joe Hart - Other thumb up.

Lacazette would be nice, but strongly suspect we're just being name dropped once again.

Agree. I get the feeling Klopp likes Firmino too much to bring someone else in as the starter, and Lacazette wouldn't come here either to be second to Firmino, either.

Firmino has not played very well when asked to play as LW, but that is likely less because he cant play there and more that the team then lacks someone of Firmino's movement and linking ability as the striker, leaving Bobby fairly isolated. Lacazette could be the solution to that fairly odd seemimg conundrum. Or, vice versa - Lacazette as the left sided Mane flanking Firmino up top.

What has United and their absolutely bonkers wage structure got to do with anything?

With Sturridge and Ings both perma-injured we'll clearly be needing another attacker this summer,... and Kasper Dolberg looks like a "Klopp striker", given that he's quick, tall, unselfish, likes playing one-two's on the move, and of course a good finisher.

That said, though we need another attacker I don't foresee us signing a striker and a winger, and with a lack of options behind Mané perhaps it would be a bit too early to make a move for Dolberg (he's still only 19 after all), unless of course Firmino is viewed as more of a wide-attacking option going forwards.

The emergence of Woodburn and Wilson might also prompt us to sign more of a natural striker instead of a pure winger too.

That said, would people be satisfied if we "only" signed Dolberg, and someone like Brandt to "beef up" the attacking options? Would you be happy with this going into next season?...

    Mané --------------------- Coutinho
    Brandt ------------------- Woodburn
    Wilson
    ------------- Firmino
    -------------- Origi
    ------------- Dolberg

Note that this is purely speculation. Also, from Dolberg's perspective, he's probably better off staying at Ajax another season to keep developing before making a move to a big club. One to watch in any case.

You can't he's old, retired and director of football at PSG. We've already got one of them, if you said that back in 1998/9 then I'd agree with you. Haha

Not sure about Dolberg, I'm happy to give anyone a go, much like my Friday nights out, I generally call it a desperate shag in a skip.
The last time we bought a blonde haired Dane he was swiftly moved on, thanks Woy. Not saying he'll be the same, then again the last we got someone from Ajax he was an animal, I would gladly have THAT person back in a heartbeat to. Unfortunately silly season begins now and opens soon. Business done 'quickly' is my ultimate preference.

Absolutely nothing of course, not that players would care enough to use them as a benchmark to show their discontent. Never. They are not even in the same industry. It would be crazy to think that a football player would look at their counterpart making more money and not being swayed by it.... no way. Our players are in it for the sport.

Thomas Lemar (age 21) of Monaco would be a fantastic alternative to Naby Keita in the Lallana/Wijnaldum position, and can also play LW which would suit us nicely.

12 goals and 10 assists this season in all competitions; including 2 goals + 4 assists in the CL.

He's a bit more under the radar than the other Monaco players (Bernardo Silva, Mbappe, Mendy, Bakayoko, etc), but would be a great addition.
