This is actually a very good time to be playing Man Utd and Spurs.
Villa away might be tricky if their confidence keeps improving, although I suspect City might bring them down to earth a bit.
Lining itself up for a tasty game against City mid November.
Even if we get 8 points out of 12 for those 4 games (draws against two of the top 6 teams) we should be very well set.

It's interesting that despite all the talk of our defence struggling - and I don't think that's necessarily wrong - we've only conceded one goal more than in the corresponding fixtures last season. And that's with our second-choice GK playing most of the games.

People just think we are worse defensively because that’s what pundits and newspapers tell them. We are playing a higher line this season due to the introduction of VAR, and we have caught teams offside more than any other team I think I read. So at times it looks like we are getting caught out we are just playing the odds a bit. Seems to be working for us

Yes I expected we would concede a few more this season however I did expect us to more than outweigh that with goals scored. That's not the case so far imo mainky due to our attackers flaffing about with back heals and such like when a shot looks like the better option.
Anyway damn shame that yellow splodge particularly considering the opposition. I'm hoping it's the one and only.

We kept a clean sheet in each of the next 6 corresponding league games from last season so if we're still only one behind after that sequence we'll have done bloody well.

I hope we can get the clean sheet habit back again soon. Alllison talked about it today at the press conference. We've had only 3 clean sheets in 18 games so far this season and it's obviously harder for us to keep winning when we have to score at least 2 goals every time.
