You only need worry if he has bright shiny teeth next week
Because Klopp isn't interested in spending all the money. Genuinely. He looks for what he needs, and culls the rest. If the club happens to make a surplus in sales, then fine.
He did it during years at Dortmund, and fsg won't complain about this I guess... after all, they were confronted with an idiot before who brought in far too many 'tools' in certain positions.
Now that Klopp has equilibrated his squad, he gets rid of those he doesn't need, even though they are good players in their own right.
I'm sure Klopp will say that he will not buy players just for the sake of buying them. But I agree with you that with our net spend, it wouldn't have hurt to get in a full-back option. Nothing too flashy, just some cover. But lets see how the season unfolds. It might be that Klavan was bought to tighten full-back screws, and once Matip and Sakho are fit, they along with Lovren could be our main CBs (though it'll make me sad if Klavan doesn't play CB once they're fit ). We'll have to see what happens.
But I genuinely think Moreno is worth culling Hope. Maybe next season.
and all them extra glasses he will need as we score loads of goals
Delighted we got back near enough what we paid for him, palace desperately need him, wish him all the best.
If they are met. I believe the 25 mil offer had some some add-ons also.
You think this, mate, and that's fair play, but (and no offence to you) what really counts, is Klopp's opinion...
What if, and I know many think this a bizarre suggestion and it is a BIG IF, Klopp finds a way to turn Moreno around to be a decent player. Should he still be culled? Ultimately it will be Klopp's decision, But what if?
Building up a war chest for next summer when we are hopefully back in the CL and can attract a higher class of player than we can this summer perhaps?
That's not to say we have bought badly this summer of course or that many of our current players won't develop into high class players.
Yes, payable only if Benteke plays 75% of games, scores 20+goals and Palace got into the Champions League!
We have brought in 5(?) straight into 1st team contention, which is a significant upgrade in all but 1(maybe 2 if we also want a specialist holding MF) of the key areas.
So Benteke is gone then? £27m plus add ons seems like a good deal to me. Maybe we can use the funds for a new left back, and Benteke can rebuild his career in South London.
See ya Christian! Have fun playing with ... Emm Can't think of a good palace player ... Zaha?
I hope Benteke does thrives in future just not for Pardew.
He might fail the medical yet
Good luck to him. Think he will do alright at Palace. Will suit their way of playing.
So can anyone point to me a charity website? Preferably for children...
So we can write this season off then because he's still crap?
I would suggest you choose a charity that has the least cost of administration fees.
This is an American Website but gives you an idea what i mean by "administration fees", Also I am not sure how up to date this site is.
Good Luck to him, just hope he does not score against us, would we have been able to put that as part of the "add off" conditions?
Ha! I presume you mean a clause to prevent him from playing against us rather than one where he's allowed to play but not score!
No, you can't put a clause in the agreement preventing him from playing against us - clubs often wait until after a fixture between the sides if one is coming up for that reason.
Either would have been nice ,
Pretty sure someone Belgian said that it was all badly-translated tabloid crap and that the real interview was nowhere near what was being said.
Just ask that Palace play Townsend, Benteke will never get the ball.
I always rated Benteke, but he wasn't a fit in our system.
I always hated playing against him, and I'm sure I will again when we line up against Palace.
Best of luck to you, Christian, and thank you for your service.
Paul Joyce reports that Palace's first bid was just £15m
Good money back on this one, not sure why people think this means we will buy a LB now, I don't think it was a lack of funds that was stopping that and if anybody has read anything that Klopp or anyone of the usual suspects have said on the matter I don't know why they think otherwise.
Not the mod (unless he's whipping people into a frenzy with LB-related PMs I'm not party to), or the US female football player, though.
Let's be fair here.
We got our money back - wellin to the club.
It just didn't work for Benteke, no fault of his own, it just didn't work
Good luck to the lad................no hard feelings
But if Klopp thinks he can turn Moreno around (maybe a short sharp smack to the head ) then I have belief he is the man to do it.
Or he's keeping schtuum(sic) on another signing [emoji7]
