Fair play to Shrewsbury Town FC. They were better than us on the night.
Agreed Maria. That’s really where I come out on it. Very disappointed in our senior players effort. Very arrogant and uninspired effort.

EDIT: Great experience for the young boys, but they’re still boys after all. Elliott and Jones just stopped playing after the first goal. They will be better but they played like they believe their own hype. They just completely stopped working.

It's not ideal to have a replay, but given how many of our players have been out injured an opportunity to play a winnable home game to get squad players match fit again isn't the worst thing. Also, another game for Neco, Elliott, Jones, etc which they otherwise wouldn't get

I hope Klopp rips into the senior player and gives them a kick up the ar$e. It was embarrassing and we did not show respect or take them seriously!

JK described this EXACT scenario when he started at Liverpool.

The beauty of this game is that the team with the better players will often not win; the team with the lesser players often has a realistic chance of winning if they work hard enough.

They wanted it more and were good enough in the key moments.

The FA cup is weird. It’s where weird stuff happens.

Good news. We are still in the competition. And some of these reserve players looks like they could use another game anyway.

Bad news: our first team members returning from injury looked bad and rusty the entire game. Fabinho, Lovren and Matip were all very poor.

Good news: Adrian

not too bothered by the replay as Klopp probably plays a side similar to this one for that game too, so it’s not like it’s an extra fixture on our normal starting first team players.

We have a week off. Then let’s go smash West Ham. All will be well.
