We've been locked in talks with Asda for the past two months. They insist it will take £3.99 to buy 50 candles, but we're standing firm at £2.50.

Not yet, ASDA are maintaining that it's not yet their opening hours so no deal yet possible, either way.

apparently due to a legal dispute we have had to abandon a plan to sign a new cake from tesco when we took a reduced price sticker from another item , used the self service checkout and then announced to the world that we had paid over the odds for the cake but it was "exceedingly good" . cctv footage shows us tampering with the box in the months leading up to this as we attempted to convince the cake that we should be the ones to eat it .

Please mods. Unnecessary shameful pun-oneupmanshippery in this thread too. You can't have your cake and eat it.

Reports are emerging that Mrs Smith has picked up the cake and is walking it to the till. Suggestions that Edwards pushed past her and ran to the cashier yelling "ok, I'll give you £3.50" are unconfirmed.

I didn't think we shopped in Asda or Tesco, it was more like Lidl or Aldi....(The ones in Southampton, near the roundabout and petrol station)

But I think this time, Mr Edwards was seen in Poundstretcher, but Mr Henry had only given him 80p...

The saga continues. But we will get the cake, and the candles. But it could be a cupcake and a half used candle.

And since we couldn't get the candle, we finally end up paying £7 for wax and £3 for strings while shouting on top of our voice that we will make the candle ourself anyway and that was our primary goal all along...

Klopp had his birthday party in germany last night in Dagobertshausen ... they had a lot of fun with the german rockband "Die toten Hosen"

Edit... I don´t buy the "Bild" because it´s a bit similiar to your S*n... so I`ve no idea whether there has been some "potential transfer targets" on that party or not. ;-)

I love Jurgen but next season is a massive season for him.

Think I remember a stat that BR was the first Liverpool manager not to win a trophy in 3 years at the club. (Not sure if that stat is since a particular year) but Klopp wouldn't want his name added to that list I'm sure and as a supporter I wouldn't want that to be the case either!

I hope you are right - but if we don't get Top 4 and fall out of the cups early, then in this day and age I think the worst...

Having said that, I think we'll do League and European Cup this season....., and then the following season too.

you shouldn't, because thankfully the panic crew of this board are not in charge, and if they were Klopp would have been gone a few months ago, anyways

All I look for is improvement if we were to finish 4th with more points that would be fine for me.

I'd love to see a cup or two, the one we all crave preferably but as I said throughout last season we currently have someone like us in the managers role, someone who understands club and fans.

With Rodgers he went backward when progression would have meant the title and then he went even further back in the 3 months after finally being got rid of thankfully.

Please excuse me as I'm new on here, and I am sure it has been discussed:

Looking back at last season, does anyone know why Jurgen didn't sign Gerrard up in January till end of season?

He could have come on in that semi final vs Southampton and maybe got us over the line?

    Ditto against Wolves.

I watched him in the legends charity match and he def had something to offer.

I remember talking in November (when we were top of the tree) that we should sign Gerrard in January and let him lift the Prem League trophy....

It went horribly wrong in Jan and Feb, Stevie would have made such a difference.

    Hindsight.

Why didnt he sign him in January? because he was signed to someone else and getting ready for the start of their season, something than ran concurrently with the period of time you are talking about. And that's before even taking into account that he cannot run anymore. His last season with us was not good, and he deteriorated since then. His time in the MLS was everything that critics of US football slate...a retirement home for high paid, has-beens.

If you had watched a single game of his time in MLS, you'd have the answer. In 2013-14, he was slow but could still be effective. Last summer, about all he had left was penalty kicks. An enormous amount of the power in his kick had gone, what little pace he had a couple of years had gone too. I actually turned a game off because I could not stand watching it - reminded me nothing more than watching a heavyweight boxer getting beaten by some stiff who would not have lasted a round with him in his prime. One of those genuinely troubling sights that made me feel my own aging.

    Spot on @Arminius !
How did you get in my brain?
I've got the feeling there are some posters here who transfigure the LFC-legend Gerrard.
As much as I like him, every further game for LFC could have damaged his halo. Be it Saints or Wolves.
This is my very honest opinion.
