So what if they are busier than us? Tosun and Walcott for £50 odd million doesn't bother me at all.
True, but Sanchez to the Mancs should have us taking note. He's a dangerous opponent and anyone dismissing him because he plays for that lot the other end of the East Lancs are simply blinkered.

Sweeting. Well said.

However, I would have liked us to pay the rumoured premium for naby.

Be nice to secure some younger talent too.

Nothing wrong with wanting new signings, despite, not becuase, of what the rest of the league is doing.
True, just no reason to panic about it when Arsenal sign Jonny Evans on deadline day is all I'm saying.

Well call me dumb, but I wouldn't mind seeing Evans in our back line, even though he's an ex-Manc player, because he is better than some of the centre backs we have now on our books.

Sanchez to United is indeed a serious move, he should walk in their starting XI. As a business though? We'll see what the figures are and how is his longevity looking back in a few years. It's also true that United have a larger pool for these kind of mega deals. You get different opinions, some who tend to overrate or underrate, some who just try to analyze move by move, be it ours or theirs. For us though, we are in a fine position and Klopp said he will invest, but not do stupid things. We've had some fantastic deals in January, that's also true, but maybe some others feel the need to invest because they're not in such a fine position? Arsenal par example, they seem like a club without direction at the moment.

A ball playing CB notorious for loses in concentration at key moments? Haven't we already got about 5 of them?

BREAKING: Leon Goretzka has signed for Bayern Munich, Schalke's Sporting Director Christian Heidel has confirmed.
Spineless from Schalke & the player: exacerbation of a disease that's killing any competition in this league. Bayern dangle their low-hanging trophy carrot and their rivals' star players seem all too happy with a future shadowy existence as bit players on Säbener Street. Bollocks! Lewandowski was the exception.

Yeah, I believe the Sanchez deal to the Mancs is going to be astronomical, although it may be eased by Mitwhatshisface going the other way. And yes, the Woolwich seem to be like a rudderless ship at the moment, which is great news for us.

I think you're dumbing him down too much. He is a decent defensive minded centre back who has an eye for a goal at the other end of the pitch.

Really disappointed but can't say I didn't expect him to... Bayern's call is too hard for Germany-based players. It's a shame, this lad would have been awesome and saved Liverpool a lot of trouble in midfield for the next five years.
I think we'll be better for it. Will force us into going for a player who isn't as similar as Keita, and will fit far better. It was too good an opportunity to pass on, but I think we'll move quickly to a Rabiot, Havartz, Torreira, Meyer hopefully.

Need to ensure that the other midfielder that we do end up getting is better in the Air. Keita is probably not as good in the air.

I'm pretty sure Klopp comes up with a solution. Still, think we are not going for an other playmaker.

Always thought he'd end up at Bayern and we would have no chance in signing him. We will now have to look elsewhere, but there's no rush in finding anyone at the moment. It's in defence that we should think about and I still believe we need a top goalkeeper. Karius may come good for us, and I hope he does, but we will eventually have to look elsewhere if he fails.

Exactly. Putting him on 500k p/w is insane, and will cause serious ramifications down the line when their other players start negotiations viewing that as the benchmark.

Typical Jose move. Sorts him out with a boss player. The fallout will be someone else's problem.

Long may it continue. It's also looking more likely that he will win fuck all of importance before he leaves too. Happy days :wave:
