He's a good judge of lack of character.
Not sure how much character helps if your body doesn't work.
Not sure how much your body is in question when you can be persuaded to play. Gerrard and Klopp both have the obvious opinion that his problem is between his ears. You might disagree?
Christ, it feels like we just go round in circles sometimes, doesn't it?
Sturridge just doesn't fancy it.
Lucas is both the best and the worst player to ever represent us.
Keita is a DM.
Sakho must be innocent of all charges because look at that honest face, and also will the club sue UEFA?
Quaresma is definitely, definitely signing this summer, along with Arda Turan.
You got one thing bang right.
Will he play right or left wing, do you think?
Nah, Lucas is boss
1) Klopp has been made to look a little foolish over those comments
2) you use a comment Gerrard made about one time he cajoled Sturridge to play and use that to discount every other actual injury he's had, and also ignore the reality that someone with the injury history of Sturridge is naturally going to feel more cautious about his health and fitness even when not injured, leading to exactly the sort of situation Gerrard described. Describing that natural human reaction as lack of character is silly.
You've got this really weird idea that Sturridge is lacking the wherewithal to just jolly well pull his socks up and put a shift in.
I don't think you appreciate the sacrifices, dedication and character to get Sturridge where he has got to in the game. He is an elite professional footballer, and you don't tend to get to that level if you don't give a fuck.
It is nothing to do with Character. His body is breaking down, a there is undoubtedly a tangible psychological element to this as well.
Poor bastard. He could have been a top five in the world striker. I just feel really sorry for him.
The lad needs a different scene, not sure what the problem is but we will find out next season. He has had injuries in the past so wouldn't surprise me.
Do please elucidate.
Klopp, like you, thought he was clever by thinking he knew better than the player. He has subsequently had to sit back and see the reality that the player is just a badly stitched together mess constantly on the verge of popping something.
Not to good or not to bad but he's not doing very well anyway, what is the big deal on him?
Keep telling yourself and me that. I believe one thing, you believe another. But Klopp has't back tracked on his original statement and hasn't been made to look foolish. He's not going to call him out again as he's obviously (imho) being sold.
And I'm in good company with Klopp and Gerrard.
The Sturridge situation is rapidly turning into a total mess. He cannot even stay fit enough to play 20Mins every other week. Talk of us getting 20M for him is looking more ridiculous by the day...........who in their right mind would pay anything like that kind of money for a player who cannot stay fit for 5 minutes?
I can see ptts point about the guy not having the heart to roll up his socks and play through the pain something that Klopp has referred to in the past. The other side of the coin is that his body is breaking down but at 27 how can his body be giving up to this extent?
One thing that has looked clear is that his heart isn't in it when he has played this season. It's a real shame because as Mascott says he could easily be a top 5 striker at world level.
Nope, not at all serious, totally tongue in cheek
West Ham, of course.
Given our transfer history with West Ham, I think we have to be a bit careful... much more of that and we'll get done for fly-tipping.
I didn't even know what that meant until just now, and I still laughed.
I still don't know what it means :?:
The illicit dumping of rubbish in places where it could cause hazard or distress to the unsuspecting.
. Sick bastard
Klopp has said he hopes Lallana will be back for Watford on Monday.
Found this on Twitter... Sry couldnt resist

Imagine if Liverpool did this for Sturridge, we would have to make it our third kit
The players today are all wearing shirts with "Marcos Rojo" or "Ibrahimovic" on the back for the warmup
Edit.. my feeling about Sturridge future is... after watching Klopps latest press conf. ...one guy asked about Sturridge... Klopps face turned to stone... he only said one word... Injured!
In german we would say... "Er hat die Schnauze endgültig voll"
Is this the right thread to report that half of Liverpool fan arses have gone? Hope they can recover quickly to provide some support for the rest of the season.
I will do my utmost to write lyrics of all the songs sang in the stadium in here in every match then... hope that shows enough support to the team when they get to see them during their halftime talk in the dresser.
If you do the one about John Terry's ma, that would be good.
Any update on Lallana, we need him back.
Supposedly back for Watford.
