Our top performers are the ones we have managed to keep on the pitch pretty much all season or if they were injured we obviously missed them. Down to the ones at the bottom who I personally feel underperformed. A top 20 ranking rather than individual scores:

Van Dijk
Mané
Salah
Trent
Henderson
Alisson

Wijnaldum
Robertson
Firmino
Gomes
Fabinho

Milner
Matip
Oxlade-Chamberlain
Keita
Adrian

Origi
Lallana
Shaqiri
Lovren

No 10s? Personally I'd be giving top marks to Virgil, Trent and Hendo at the very least.
Trent was wayward in quite a lot of his crosses and his freekicks. Virgil wasn't quite last year's beast. Hendo gets 9.5

Eh, don't agree. We've only conceded 21 goals in 31 games so far, and Virg is the biggest factor in that, not to mention the fact he's also our top scorer outside of our front 3. Trent has followed up his tally of last season's assists (12) while increasing his scoring as well, and in league assists is second only to de Bruyne, one of the world's most creative midfielders playing in a team that breathes goals. The nearest defender to him is Digne, on 6.

As for Hendo, we don't win the league without the leadership and drive he's provided all season. All 3 were our key men in winning the title, imo, and can't pick fault in any of them.

Room to improve still. Trent needs to be delivering better crosses. Yes, He's improved compared to last season but I see quite a large number of overhit crosses and his freekicks do need to improve as well.
Virgil , maybe i'm used to expecting more from him.

Like i said , no one gets above 9.5

If Alexander-Arnold ever manages to deliver an excellent cross, everytime, for 38 straight games then he would not only be the greatest RB in living memory but the greatest player in living memory.

Anyway I remember having an argument with someone on here a couple of years ago that said he was the worst crosser in the league, so I guess he is improving.

It's great to have high standard but that's a crazy expectation for a 10!

Fact we conceded 21 is probably due to the fact we lost our number 1 keeper for a large number of games, Alisson is one behind the golden glove Lewder and he only played about 22 games.

we conceded almost a quarter of our goals in just two games.

Yeah if Trent takes advantage of that room and improves it'd probably mean every game finishing with a hat trick of assists and the occasional goal of two whilst the defence he is a part of keeps more clean sheets than anyone else and keeps goals conceded to a level only Joses Chelsea hit. Meanwhile he'd be a shoe in for every individual award going and people would be able to stop arguing Messi or Ronaldo and agree that Alexander-Arnold is the best the world ever knew. Some people just have unrealistic expectations. Hes simultaneously the best RB in the world whilst also being one of the best crossers of the ball and one of the best play makers in the world. Hes 21!!!

I will wait until the season is done to post my ratings but for me the player of the season is Mane. A richly deserved 10/10, hopefully he won't be the only one I give that mark but he's simply been outstanding throughout the whole season. Aside from having his most consistent season to date, he's also had a hand in some of the most important winners that turned the season into Liverpool's favour, namely Leicester, Tottenham and Wolves at home and, of course, Aston Villa away, one game that I won't be forgetting in a hurry.

My vote goes to Henderson because he epitomises everything this clubs once and now again stood/stands for and I couldn't be happier for him.. He is a club legend.

My no.2 would be Mane though, his goals at such critical points in games and the season basically kept us winning when we were playing pretty terribly.. He delivered all season, true world class - I mentioned it in his player thread, 4 years he's been here.. He was the first signing of Klopps revolution and there is where it started player/style wise.

Henderson has proven me wrong - and has also had the best season of his career - but Mane edges it for me. For me, Mane has been THE key signing of Klopp's era. Liverpool got lucky with signing him, considering they wanted Dembele and Götze (maybe they wouldn't have precluded Mane's signing but I don't know that for sure) and that Van Gaal was desperate to sign him, to the point that I had been resigned to that even before Liverpool's interested was indeed confirmed by reliable sources. He played a big role in bringing back Champions League football and improved with every season. This one, though, he's been unplayable, to the point where I worry that the likes of him (and Henderson, in fact) will ever be able to repeat anything like it. Oh, isn't it wonderful that we debate this instead of who we'd sell or bench... I could get used to this if I wasn't too afraid, haha!

Not sure if last 6-7 games are going to have much influence on who should be the top three for the season. Hendo and Mane seem two obvious choices for me, because of the impact they had this season. Van Dijk is victim of his own being so good, a smallest mistake makes him look he has gone a level down. Pretty confused on the third one, Robbo and Trent were as good as well. Voted for VVD in the end.

Like it. I'd make a few minor changes:

-.05 for Adrian (7); Gomes (8.5) and Hendo (9)
+0.5 for Trent (8.5); Salah (8.5) and Milner (8)

V close for me for PoTS between VVD, Mane and Hendo but Hendo just squeaks it - perhaps for his role off the pitch as captain while expertly carrying the weight of ending the 30 year drought having been so close twice before.

Mane, quite easy for me. It's not like he's been miles better than the second best or other candidates, but it's clear as daylight. Hendo's been very good, but I honestly didn't see that jump or such a difference from his current season compared to his previous ones (when he was fit and in form). I'm a bit confused why there's suddenly such a Hendo mania in public. I just think that's people being late to the party or realizing that he's pretty good. Now as captain he's lifting all those trophies. He embodies more than all our players what Klopp is about in terms of values. That's true. He's like a symbol of the principles of this team, how we play and behave on and off the pitch. But in terms of performance and influence, Mane was really "Main" (his new nickname inside the group!) this season.
