Finally early game. Fab-Ox-Keita in mid again? Would be good if these three get in the groove before the next season.

Ox needs to start picking up his game. He's got talent but the consistency is lacking and I really hope he comes good.

Might be the usually back 5 and front 3 otherwise I think.

I am just hoping we don't look like a buch of limp lettuce leaves out there. Last time we played without Henderson I thought I had accidently got my head stuck in the fridge rather than switch the tv on.
Let's see if without hendo we can show something else.

Gini has to start tomorrow, he'll probably be one of the first names on the team sheet. No way he doesn't start two games in a row in a time like this. Especially now without Hendo. We'll see if Naby starts again or if it would be too many starts for him in a few days. Could be Ox instead of him. Millie will be also lurking for a midfield spot in the next few games, perhaps in one of the bigger ones.

Horrible bastards this lot,4-0 to us,2 Salah goals assisted by Mane and Mane gets 2 goals assisted by Salah, best friends forever.
Bobby hattrick, all three goals no look goals.

they were going in anyway when he stole them off the line, Two were mos, one was sadios

All three walk off laughing and patting each other’s back.

Textbook firmino team bonding move

Those records have suddenly become important. Wasn't arsed a few weeks ago, just winning the title was enough but now I want us to wipe those cheating manc cunts out of the record books.
Think we might see Milner at RB and Fabinho, Keita and Gini in the middle. Usual front 3. Maybe Bobby can end his home goal drought but part of me thinks it would be funny as fuck if our number 9 didn't score a home goal all season and we won every game. Almost like he's trolling us.
Ox is my only concern. Don't know what it is but he struggles to make any impact regardless of where he plays. If he plays tomorrow he really needs to show something.
3-1 to the Reds.

Kind of get this Bobby don’t score stuff going around! We win all 19 home games without our front man scoring - kind of like watch out next season when we go into 2nd gear!

Rugged game is what I’m expecting. But we will get over the line. 2-0. Salah hat trick. Mane with a brace in between each of Salahs goals, and Minamino at the end. Still 2-0.

Agree that Bobby should start tomorrow, Tie them in knots. I'd like to see Fabinho in from the start too, take no crap from these hod carriers in the midfield. Hoping for a good solid 3 nil. Salah to go into golden boot contention and Alisson to join pope at the front of the golden glove race

Bunch of thugs this lot, remember the Joe Gomez injury a couple of years ago, that was not accidental. They try to bully and intimidate the opposition every game. We just need to play our usual game and there should be no problem. But most of all avoid any injuries.

What an idiot I am, completely forgot that Gini started the last game. Still, I think he'll start here. Probably Fabinho, Ox and Gini in midfield then.

Wait, Erik Pieters played RW for them in the last game?

Oh dear. That's the most anti-football move I've seen in a long time.

This is the most important game of the season, well at least it will be until the next one. It's an absolutely must win game.

As far as I can ascertain, this will be our first game with david "cobbler" coote in charge. So, for us he's a bit of a dark horse - or are PGMOL pulling a flanker, and is he their joker in the pack? He comes from the same neck of the woods as sean "cobbler-ket" dyche, the tight-lipped, ashen-faced 49-year-old manager of the "corked" clarets, so will that regional affinity work against us? Only time will tell, however, we can be fairly confident that, with "crisis" kaveanagh in charge of VAR, the already vanishingly small chance of being awarded a penalty in our favour has receded even farther.

Boudica appears to have fully recovered from her veisalgia "upset stomach", as she was up at dawns first flush, striding purposefully with rod and net towards the lake. From which I surmise that the Mem is going to practice a little ichthyomancy, or failing that batraquomancy as her contribution to our pre-match rituals.

I suppose I could have enquired more closely as to the Mem's exact disposition, but it never bodes well to interrogate Boudica before lunchtime; it is likely to elicit what, a gentler, more naive soul might misconstrue as dactylomancy. But you can always tell when the Mem is back on form; Sooner or later, out pops the cloven hoof.

For my part, I shall confine my ante-compositus exertions to a little isopsephy combined with cottabomancy in the potting shed. It doesn't do to overexert oneself when one gets to my age.

As for Lawro, he never learns; he has predicted another 2 - nil win for us. Surely he must realise that the surest sign of insanity is to repeat the same thing over and over again, expecting a different outcome.

We can only trust that Lawro doesn't prove to be our "person from Porlock"

Hopefully his attempted kiss of death won't throw a spanner in the works and upset the apple-cart.

I'll take a scrappy 1-0 win to us.

I see the media are still pursuing the Mane/Salah don’t like each other narrative, while all the time talking up Man Utd and Citeh. Apparently Klopp was asked about their relationship in the pre match press conference. He’s got far more patience and diplomacy than I’d have when asked stupid questions by the Manchester press. It’s clearly intended to irritate Klopp and upset the team spirit in the squad. I’d have to shut them down as soon as they asked the question, if it was me.

I’d have answered “Well, they’re clearly working together well enough for us to win the league in record time.”

Or something along those lines.

My reply to your reply would be a question: Why should Klopp change his approach to answering questions, when he has so successfully conditioned the press to ask questions that he has polite answers for?
He turned round a banal pointed question and said something interesting about how rarely he has ever had to reproach a striker for selfishness twice in 20 years because he understands goal-scoring depends on making the right decisions at incredible speeds. He wasn't having any of it when they laid out the theory that Firmino's decisions in the game were consciously helping Mo get more Mo goals rather than more LFC goals.

Yes. Good morning, fellow Reds and fellow Champions, to today’s edition of who will revel, who will sing, who will complain, who will buy, who will sell, who will see selfishness, who will see selflessness, who will sub, who will post a starting squad, who will post a review, who will cook halibut, and and who will sleep.

Ah, the good life.
