Hopefully he finally gets a few games and we can see if he has any potential at all (international football doesn't count, especially youth international)
I'm wary of these kids who can't get a work permit, it's a shame as they obviously wouldn't have been brought in under this regime had they not had any real potential - at least that's what I'd like to think. He was unlucky with his injury last summer but I'm still not sure if him staying fit would have made any real difference, as in Awoniyi's case. It's a strange move but I assume he'll be playing regularly at least. No shame in nurturing a talent and selling him for profit if he can't hold down a first team squad spot and the team is winning, though.

Yeah I thought he would be playing regularly on his other loans but he didn't even get a look in. My instinct says he's probably just shite but who knows.

I thought exactly the same about Allan, Klopp praised him on a few occasions, I thought we had a gem on our books.

Another assist for Woodburn today, after a slow start he seems to be finding his feet as you'd expect with regular action.

Yikes. Another bad day at the office for Karius?

In other news, sun rises in the east.
He is done mate. He will be playing in tier 2 before you know.

Looking from the outside - Karius, Benteke(told that he won't change for Klopp because what he was doing is the thing which got him to LFC), Mignolet(you may question this - but he never changed his play style despite all our struggles and credited himself/his wife once for reducing his errors. Did the coaching staff gave absolutely no advice?) are of same kind to me - that they don't listen to advice and think they know all and can do things on their own.

Great job - cheers @Sweeting

Just want to ask you directly - do you think our academy struggles are related in any way to Michael Beale's departure? Are their poor results (so far) reflective of their performances or have they been a bit unlucky, do you think?

I don't know if I would say it is a result of Michael Beale leaving as the U23s almost always get off to a slow start, so this is largely in line with the last few seasons.

The performances that I have seen have been OK, not great but fine, but we concede a lot of goals through individual mistakes.

What normally happens is that we reach Christmas and our form turns around and we finish around 4th. Last year's side was less talented but more experienced - as this one gains some chemistry and gametime at this level I think results will improve.

Granted its 2nd hand info but I’m hearing really positive stuff about Grujic, anyone seen him first hand?
