Another solid display, this guy is immense. The way he held on to Bony's strike inspires confidence in his ability, looks the real deal this fella.

Gave it to Migs. Commanded the area and showed why he was a great pickup.

Sakho looks very calm and confident on the ball. Has a great knack for saving tackles/pokes. Very encouraging. Won't take long for him to nail down a spot and leave Skittles and Dagger fighting for the other CB spot.

As much as I've criticized Coutinho for not doing enough with the ball when he gets it so far this season..... he gets it, and at least holds it. When he left there was a gaping hole where he'd been. Which leads me to ask if someone will please feed Aspas some cake? Cake for breakfast, cake for lunch, and cake for dinner. Poor guy was lost, like a boy among men, running around and doing very little with any purpose. He needs to be sent back down to the U-21's. Wait.....

Gerrard just finished playing two full games for England and it showed. The bloke needs a holiday. Played and looked tired.

Skittles was throwing himself around with some decent effect.

Sturridge continues to wow with a goal a game. Looking forward to seeing him at full fitness with more support.

Moses was a very good addition. Very threatening, and along with Sakho, he may now or very soon be a regular starter.

The whole team sat back and waited in the second half. Watching most of that half was like watching a tire deflate. Boring as hell.

Sturridge for me.... he scored and lasted whole match. Can't see who else should take it, can't give it to Skrtel because we conceded 2 and can't give it to the keeper as we conceded 2. Unless it was against Messi and co where we got bombarded by such quality, can't really give the defence a lot of credit on this game.

Mignolet, for keeping us in the game towards the end with some superb saves.

Don't forget he created that clear-cut chance for Aspas all by himself right at the death.
