They were playing for the "Arsenal Vs Liverpool highlights" video. We were for the " Arsenal Vs Liverpool All goals" one. If it wasn't for the linesman we would have come home with all 3 points. That said, an away draw against Arsenal who are in a great form of late isn't bad. We can do better but against this opposition I am happy to take home a point.

In matches like this it's about fine margins - Arsenal much improved - but not unbeatable - on the bottom line stands the ruled out goal by Sadio.
I don't think there was much to be done about Lacazette's equalizer , that was class. We didn't play very good out of midfield on turnovers , there was more to be had - Fabinho still a long way out from beeing settled imho.

Motm goes to Robbo the terminator - closely followed by Milner the tank.

I take the point but am miffed about the refs again today.

Think it's the right result... but can't hide my disappointment at all, we should win these. We're 3rd after this gw concludes.

Arsenal out worked Liverpool today when they were without the ball and that should never happen. Liverpool did very little to make life uncomfortable for Arsenal. I mentioned in the match thread that it is absolutely astounding to me that the boys looked so timid, flat footed and without clue with 7 full days of preparation for this match. I also thought Jürgen's body language and overall demeanor was a little lackluster or without energy in his press conferences this week. I don't know what TAA's problem is but I hope he gets right, quickly. That was a horrifying display.

Glad for the point, but very strange match for me.

virgil was his usual magnificent self but he did bollox a couple chances

sadio my MOTM, should've had the opener and did the work for what should've been the winner. two 50 yard sprints late on when half the players on the pitch were walking dead

fabinho wasn't so much dire as up and down, and that match was played at the pace we might've expected vs city. naby & ox weren't available and might've been helpful

seems like we tweaked our shape a bit and had milner playing more as a wingback after he scored, but trent was pretty dreadful in the last 15 minutes

Thought Fabinho was our worst player today. He seemed to find the pace of the game difficult to keep up with, putting more pressure on our mids and defense.
He might not play for a couple of weeks based on that form nor might TAA.

A draw is a decent result.

We didnt play great today but then Arsenal did play well, they looked dangerous every time they got on the ball.

Even at 1-0 up I thought at least we should get a draw today, as Arsenal kept plugging away with their through balls and one of them finally got through.

We could have easily lost that game today especially after that poor first half.

well ,,,here comes the dip in form ... players should expect that with this kind of shit play points are lost and trophies are lost ... apart from the disallowed goal , result is more or less fair .... JK needs to sort it out , this is not a champion's form

Perplexed at the negativity...like Arsenal were just going to let us walk all over them. Adding in the fact that we hit the post and had a goal incorrectly disallowed and it's just one of those nights.

It's a fair result.
For me, it's not so much negativity as it just disappointment. For how "big" and meaningful this match was, I didn't think our boys effort or desire matched Arsenal's. They are capable of much more than they displayed today.

Well I would have been happy with the draw before kick off but I have an overwhelming sense we were robbed of a win. Correct me if Im wrong but wasnt the lino who incorrectly ruled out Sadio's goal, the same lino who gave that shit injury time pen to Spurs last season? Mariner is a shit ref who gives us sod all. arsenal players going down like flies were given frees yet when they tugged us back, he gives nothing. No wonder Robbo was livid!

OK some other thoughts, Virgil desparately unlucky not to have had a hattrick tonight. Trent, unfortunately, was utter crap. WTF is this throw in coach doing because we lose possession on nearly every one of our throw ins! We never seem to win a header from midfield or the oppos box unless it is Virgil or Joe going forward. Alisson really should stay on his line a bit more and it was a very disappointing goal to conceed imho. EDIT watching the replay again, he did have to come out so I was being a tad harsh!

OK it might be good play by arsenal but we gave them far too much space and turned over possession far too easily.

Still arsenal are a vastly improved side since they played city and chelsea and it was a 'must not lose' game in my opinion, more so than a must not lose. On to Red Star now.

I got an issue with the last sub Klopp made....Why put in a defender when the opponent has thrown in all his attacking subs? I am pretty sure Salah would've rip Iwobi a new hole at leftback....

Bitter sweet result. After 1st half display, certainly would have been happy with a point, but after going up thought we could have held them out.

Mane much improved in 2nd half. TAA very average today and like so many others saying, we really need more spark throughout, especially in midfield.

Can see the Arse making a nuisance of themselves for rest of the season and being there or thereabouts come May.

We really are missing the Ox. Dare I say, we are missing someone with Can’s drive in midfield as well!? Hopefully Keita comes right very soon and with more exposure to games like this, Fab becomes the player he was earmarked for.

It really hurts to see that disallowed goal again. For all they played well, chances either end etc, THAT decided the game. SO poor.

We were not at our best but we were playing against a highly organised Arsenal team (bar their back four) who are potential top 4 candidates. It was never going to be an easy match. I thought it was a strange game tbh, we were good in some moments and we were unlucky with the disallowed goal and lacking in concentration at other times. I thought TTA was having a shocker, but thank God for Milner, Gomez, Robertson and VVD.
I don't know what the hell is going on with our front three, they seem to be abit disjointed this season and not getting into the groove like last year. Tbh, not sure about Fabinho, maybe he needs more time to settle in. I thought our midfield was lacking creativity and devoid of ideas.
Even though we didn't play well or that badly, if the disallowed goal stood, we might have won. The PL refereeing is abysmal and tbh, Marriner is a total plonker! The sooner the VAR comes the better really.

MOTM goes to Milner and Robertson.

Anyhow, I would take a draw at this point so I shouldn't complain too much.

I’m happy with that. Said before the game that this would be trickier than lots of people were saying. VDD kept us in the game. I don’t expect Fabinho to start next week.

Wijnaldum, with all the plaudits he had been getting, better than this, more technical than that, where was he in the second half? Relied heavily on Salah, bad sub from the manager and Alexander-Arnold defending was bad today. Our final 3rd passing needs a lot of polishing and so is our finishing. Not good enough.
nice job singling out Wijnaldum in the midfield without mentioning a word about Fabinho. nice one showing your true colors.. I would never expect anything different

Point away at Arsenal is hardly tragic, but I am getting a little miffed that it's November and we still haven't seen that sweeping-all-before-them attacking side from last year.
As for individual performances I am getting worried about TAA, he looked out of his depth on many occassions tonight and made a lot of rookie mistakes that he really should have weeded out by now. Almost everything that threatened us came down his side.
On the other end of the spectrum, VVD is a monster! Such a shame that header didn't go in because it would have been an icing on a fucking ginormous cake!

Positive: an away point against a rival. Milner as usual covered a lot of space, and helped both going back and forward. Robertson made some good runs and crosses. Solid centre back pairing. First half was hot and cold, but should have come in at the break a goal up if it wasn’t for the useless assistant.

Negative: Arsenal changed the game with injecting fresh legs and pace with their subs. Klopp took a passive approach and allowed the Arsenal rejigged formation to impose themselves in the last 15 minutes. Better in game management from us would’ve given us a healthier chance to counter the Arsenal positive changes.

A learning curve for Fabinho. Felt he should have been taken off. We seemed to be too light in midfield. TAA had an off day, nothing was going for him.

So a point each against Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal. Need to go on a winning run again, as the chasing pack are all together.

It's a marathon.
Not a single team would allow you to walk all over them, this isn't the Fergie era and we didn't buy the league. We have not been ourselves since the West Ham match and for us to not tear this fuckers apart at the back is beyond me. Their makeshift defence are there for the taking.

You are right, it's a marathon. The problem is, we have to chase a robot who has a constant speed and we have been dropping off ours. If we are happy to finish 4th every season, this would be seen as a tremendous result for not playing well. But if we want to beat City this is a bad result because we didn't play well!
