oh my god,yes we are top if the league and getting good results, but i wish people would stop saying IT WAS JUST ON OF THOSE NIGHTS!!!!!!!
NOOOOO...ive seen every game this season and this is pretty much how we play now,god only knows how we are top to be honest, last year im afraid is just a distant memory,we have played 11 games in the premiership and like most people on here i keep thinking to myself, well its only a matter of time before the front 3 click!! Its quite possible we could still be saying that on match day 35!!! I really hope im wrong and they do click but on the evidence so far i just cant see it happening, the only bright light i can see in an attacking sense is shaquiri who seems to link up quite well but is getting limited time so far, anyway still think its a good point away to an in form and decent arsenal side.

Unlucky today hit the post twice VVD should have scored at least once . TAA was poor today always late and poor decision making if this was Moreno he would have been lynched . Fabinhou not doing well with 433 .

Virgil was on a different plane today. For once JG in comparison looked like the novice he has every right to stay for a bit. They both got really good blocks in when Auba was looking very dangerous. Trent's ball through for the 'goal' was his best moment of the match. His body language despite a tough game remained intact. He'll be back. Maybe his growth spurt and too much work in the gym has cut a fraction of his pace.

5 points from arsenal, Chelsea and spurs away. That's a good thing. Felt we we were robbed today though.
Good point. Also that’s another tricky away game against a top 4 rival out of the way. Puts the pressure back on city.

Thought Fabinho was our worst player today. He seemed to find the pace of the game difficult to keep up with, putting more pressure on our mids and defense.
Early days for him, and he certainly struggled with the pace I thought. He should learn from it. I'm more concerned about TAA. Hasn't looked like last seasons model

The biggest thing I see missing from our game is the pressing.
It's gone.
We used to create so many chances just because of pressing.
What's hapoened!? Is it a change of style? Whatever it is, we need that back. That is our strongest weapon.

Robbed by the linesman, we didn't play well but still should have won, Virgil could have had a hatrick, Trent and Fabinho struggled big time, I think we missed Hendo today Fabinho is just to slow, I think if Lovren was fit he was starting beside Virgil, a draw is ok away to a top 5 team, still unbeaten in the league. :celebrating:

Emery has them playing very well. I think Arsenal will be top four and Spurs and Man Utd will miss out.

A point away against them is a decent result. After getting our noses in front it feels disappointing. Mane’s goal should have been allowed and Big Virg was very unlucky not to score. On their end they had a fair amount of chances too. Of all the teams we’ve faced so far this season, I thought Arsenal cut through us the most.

PS - I can’t remember seeing TAA get beat so much. Poor game from him. Still a good player though, and he’ll learn from that.

Really feels like a strange game. So close to so many goals. VvD was a combined foot away from a hat trick. Salah and Mane inches away from getting on the end of crosses.
I thought Trent was poor. Fabinho needs to not put us in danger with losing possession so much. And we need more from our midfield.
I’d like to see Shaqiri playing in an AM role, with Hendo anchoring it and Keita roaming and linking up. Get those two fit and give that a try.
We’ve played Spurs, City, Chelsea and Arsenal and still no losses. Beginning of the season most of us all would take that. But how a couple of them went, we feel we should have gotten more.
I guess that’s progress.

We press for about half an hour, then are bite is gone. I suspect it has never been any different. Typically we have a team out of sorts by half time. Arsenal were comfortable to play through us, and we then looked a bit lost ourselves. Did well to draw in the end.

Hardly surprising that TAA had an off night given the stuff that surfaced during the week. Would not have been fun for him out there.

No excuses though, needed to be better.

City's 2 points dropped vs Wolves could mean them losing the fucking title to us or the chavs....

Chelsea's 2 points dropped vs WHU could mean them losing the fucking title to us or Citeh....
And my auntie having balls could mean she'd be my uncle...

(Makes about the same amount of sense as the post you quoted)

Should have subbed Trent and got on Matip and pushed Gomez to rb. Should have seen Trent was being targeted from the start and given him help. The poor guy's knackered because he's been up against it with 2 or 3 running at him. There were several 2 on 1 situations right away but no real adjustment to cover that. Mane gave cover to Robertson on occasion but way less cover for Trent who was asked to push up a lot too, so was covering a ton of ground the whole game, so give him a break in the final 15 and sub him, poor game management for me by Klopp which isn't anything new.

I'm preferring Salah being more central with Shaq out right, he at least comes back and offers support. How many crosses coming in to head in their box were just shielded by the taller Arse defense, you'd think the tactics would get modified once its failed once or twice. How about pinging in a few and scoring that way, their defense isn't that good.

There's a lack of fluidity too, almost like we're over thinking it rather than allowing it to flow naturally and we're screwing up the final ball too often. Might also be due to a raised level of quality and their manager is rather good and has more time to work with his team since City beat them. Goal should have counted for us, which is annoying, there goal had 2 players offside in the build up and we were brave playing the high line so deserved the offside calls. Agree with others saying its 2 dropped points, yep, City won there.

Milner got my vote for the goal. That's it.

Wijnaldum, with all the plaudits he had been getting, better than this, more technical than that, where was he in the second half? Relied heavily on Salah, bad sub from the manager and Alexander-Arnold defending was bad today. Our final 3rd passing needs a lot of polishing and so is our finishing. Not good enough.

Please no more of "we didn't play well, but unbeaten, marks of champions", please. By tomorrow, we might be 3rd. So let's not talk about winning the title when we keep playing this way. Wayward passing, no fluidity and lack in finishing. We didn't even defend well enough.

The only thing i am happy about besides the point is fabinho getting the full 90 minutes despite his struggles. He will be better for it! Call it a baptism by fire

No not for me. They were still pressing dangerously. Right move. Shore it up. Arsenal will take points from our rivals, I'm sure of that
I agree Klopp made the right decision with Shaq. Last thing we needed to do was put on a player not exactly great at defensive duties.

But I'm certain City and Chelsea have played Arsenal already. In City' s case at least, I think it was at the Gunner's home.

Arsenal are a very good, fast as fuck team who'll trouble most whilst playing PEA and La Cassette up front,we beat them outright but the officials fucked us over,
Agree with you, we were unlucky with alot of incompetent decisions going against us this season, by the PL referees this season.

Fabhino has not looked sharp enough against better sides IMHO. Too tentative. This was not Cardiff, were he looked a lot better. Arsenal dominated the middle, and TAA looked like he was playing his first ever game at Left Back. Lost count of Arsenal's chances down his side.

Ultimately, Arsenal will not trouble City as much as they did us, and that is the difference between our two sides, I fear.

Fabinho has a long way to go and, based on that match, so does TAA.

Disappointed we could only get the point, as I thought we'd be a lot better than them. We were outplayed and di well to get the point in the end.

Thought VVD and Robbo our best performers.

Whats with the Matip change he always makes. Fucking Matip!
For me, with Arsenal taking their left back off and going positive with three attacking players, we should have countered the physical threat (as out players were tiring) with at least two changes before the equaliser went in.

We were struggling to close down the passing channels in the last 10 min. Even Moreno coming on would've given some energy. Fabonho really struggled through the match, but especially at the end.

In the end, we made only one sub (Matip was just in the final minute) versus three for Arsenal, even though Arsenal seemed more energetic throughout the whole game.

City played arsenal when they were in disarray at the beginning of the season. Chelsea just edged out arsenal at home. If a professional lino knew the rules, we'd have won too.

Well Arsenal clear winners in that match. We got a point they got a confidence boost and a claim to a top 6 place.
2 very poor midfields. The match was between Mané and Lacazette and Milner won.
Our 4411 in the second period looked like a complete tactical brainfart until we scored then it started to make sense, until they scored of course.
If your good at it (rigorous and disciplined) being negative can turn out to your advantage. That's not our case.
At the moment I sit waiting for Shaquiri to get subbed on.

One thought, For LFC what's worst than a starting 11 without Henderson? Well, a starting 11 without Henderson.

I am pleased we finished with a draw, which on paper (and paper only) looks reasonable. We were second best for most of the match but deserved something. I am disappointed we didn't put Arsenal in their place (which we are capable of) now we have another team to contend with at the top.

I really hate the last minutes defensive subs. I really hate them.

If we want to secure a win or a draw JK subs one of the front 3 for a defender. In my opinion that is like "ok, come and attack us for the rest of the game".. I hate it!!

I really would want Arsenal to go on like headless chickens for the last 5 and kept the front 3 intact (the sub of Shaq was good in my opinion).

Did you miss Shaqiri coming on then?
