I wanted Chelsea and Man City to be a draw tbh. I didn't want Chelsea to win. They are a dangerous team.
Maria, if we are to win the league, the only team that can stop us is city. Other teams are irrelevant in my opinion. It will come down to us being close or leading them. Inspite of how much we hate them, they are a world class team and they are capable of scoring 100 point's again.
Any team that can stop them getting 3 point's will do us a massive favour.
For us everygame has to be played like a cup final now.

We've played them where they're most dangerous though, so if they came to Anfield still a threat in March (at a guess) we'd still be the favoured team. And as City didn't lose in their toughest away match of the season, we should be really happy they did in their second toughest.

I thought keita looked very good on the ball again today... can't wait to see him vs napoli. his ball control dribbling vision and passing is amazing ... i think the play will start to go thru him

it seems like Alisson does at least one awesome thing a game now... that was some clearance with that header...

Yep. It is pointless even thinking about keeping up with City if we worry about an 8 point gap over Chelsea being dangerously close.

Fair enough then. However, we also have the potential to drop points at some stage in this long season.

Of course we do.

But you only have to look at the table and the loss column.....we really want citeh to lose, no matter who it is against.

So ridiculously tight at the top though.

Heck, it might just be a first ever, but if citeh played manure tomorrow I’d want United to w......to wwwww......I’d want utd to wi..........wiiiiiiiiiiiiii.........I mean, I’d want United to wwwwwwwww........wwiiiiiiiiiii.......

I would not want citeh to get any points from that fixture.

I feel like a need a wash.

I was a bit disappointed with him after the other day, from watching that today the one thing he really needs to improve on is his work without the ball, it was poor, he was bypassed too easily & too often, not surprised he got hooked when he did.

This morning I said I would be really happy with 3 points but as events have unfolded I don't think things could have gone much better.

There's a big week coming up, let's hope it is a good omen.

How many seasons in a row now?
We have only been relegated twice 1905 and 1955. So it's the 63rd time in a row that we have avoided relegation.
But I don't think we have often reached the mythical "42 safe points" total two weeks before Christmas !
So, this might just turn out to be a good season.
PS I can remember seeing us play in the old Second Division in the 1950s (but not the 1900s !)

What a beautiful day.

A nice win to start it off (what could have been very tricky), then City do the unthinkable and lose. We sit top of the tree. We just need to win 21 and draw 1 now to win the league. Easy peasy.

We actually got relegated to the 2nd Division in 1895 after our first season in the 1st Division. I wasnt around to witness that though!

I was always curious about something, you know when the player gets MOTM, what is inside that box they are given, anyone know?
Probably a stupid piece of glass with your name written in tiny letters with a massive fuck off logo of some shitty sponsor.

It's a mystery cash amount, at the end of the season all the winners meet up and have a game of deal or no deal.

In the 80's/early 90's they use to win a bottle of Champagne that was about the size of Moreno and players like Tony Adams use to drink the lot there and then
