Taking Naby off at 60 mins was a sure sign he'll be in the line-up versus Burnley and Fab only playing 30 likewise. Hendo will be rested. I can see Milner starting and we probably won't see the Ox for a bit. Can't wait to see how Klopp manages Curtis Jones' minutes over the next couple of matches if Hendo"s rested twice.

I loved Tyler mentioning the 6 game drought even when we had scored 3, it’s not coming back Martin.

And then he went on about the day when City won it last season like he was remembering fond memories. I do wonder why he keeps doing us, is it punishment, he apparently lives in the North West so I thought tonight he would have been rested. Is someone at Sky punishing him for something.

Anyhow BT on Saturday

Hope that Hendo is okay. Never like seeing Captain Fantastic shaking his head while walking off the pitch. Could be a bone bruise? Nothing on the knee please.

Got to give some kudos to Brighton. They came out to give us a proper match. It was enjoyable, and somewhat nerve wracking, especially after the first drink break. Our boys were running like chickens with the heads cut off. Poor Neco was being targeted after that break, and he did not get the defensive help as I would like to see, particularly that he was playing on the wrong side.

I still do not think Ox is too suitable in playing the forward position, but he did much better against any other time that he was playing in the front 3. However, in that position, he does not help out as much defensively as one would hope.

The ref was shockingly bad today. Called too early when there was a massive advantage to us. Any body vs body challenges, he whistled and penalized against our boys.

My 3 picks:

1. Mo: He really want that shiny golden boot, doesn't he. The effort, the vision, the energy was amazing. Brighton's defence must have been having nightmare after the game when facing Mo. Is that also 2 assists from Robbo?

2. Captain Fantastic: He was an absolutely beast today. What a goal as well. Could have a second one with the deflection as it could have gone anywhere. Spraying the ball accurately too.

3. Bobby: Really good today. Linking up well, and I think that his presence also helped Ox in this game. I thought that he could have a goal to himself too.

Next up, Burnley!

Great win for the lads. Brighton gave our boys a good game and they fought hard to get something from this game, they have my full appreciation. Its a shame Mo didn't get the goal at the very end.

Hopefully, Martin Tyler will retire at some point this year, irritating twerp, its about time he does something productive like the gardening or something.

Pretty good that. Brilliant start, played with real hunger, very focused. I was interested to see how the two 8's played today, and was encouraged by Naby's eagerness to attack. Night and day compared to the first 60 against Villa, although there's natural reasons for that. Great to see anyway, thought he was really good. Voted for him, Virgil and Mo in the poll.

Williams did ok at left back. Made things a bit difficult for himself at times, and had some problems with Lamptey, but did all right. Good decision by Klopp to sub him, because of the booking. Would like to see him get one or two more starts this season.

It's nice this, watching Liverpool without much riding on the result. Good fun..

Good win.

Topic of discussion we had post game was that we made 4 rounds of subs (5 subs in total).

1. Robbo at half time
2. Fab and Mane at 60mins
3. Milner on for Hendo
4. Minamino towards the end.

I thought the rules stated that we are only allowed 3 'rounds' of subs?

Someone in one of the groups said that the half time subs dont count towards the 'rounds' of subs. Im a bit confused.

Oh and the match, that was ok too. Was hoping for Mo to get his hat trick - he should have. Maybe they'll take it out on Burnley.

3 more wins needed. Tense. Erm, not.

Clearly we can't be arsed getting out of perhaps third gear and who can blame them?

Ox just doesn't work in the front three and is starting to look like the odd man out at the moment. Bit worrying really.

Williams looked decent going forward but not so great defensively and was given a torrid time by their right back who looked really good. Think it's a bit early to say he can cover both fullback positions next season.

Keita was really good, so much better when he has the confidence to assert himself. Definitely want to see him start the next game too.

Minamino looked bright when he came on. Would like to see him start down the middle with Mane and Salah either side but suspect it's Mo's turn for a rest against Burnley.

Still not bored of winning games.

3 more wins to obliterate those cheating cunts from the record books. That on top of their ban being upheld would surely result in Cardiola's bald head falling off and put the icing on a wonderful season for us.
Thought we were a bit sloppy all over the pitch but Keita, VVD and Hendo were all outstanding. Mane was class when he came on and it was nice to see Robbo has sobered up.
Will have to be sharper at both ends against Burnley.

Well firstly well done Lads!
I still do frighten myself about getting 90+ poinst/season as being the MOST normal thing in the world.
This is going to madness and beyond.
The idiot commentator today which name should t be spoken made me run riot.
Honestly having won the league i don t know what drives this lot to still run and fight? For what… IT MUST BE PROUD!
That is why i have the utmost respect for every each of them! They mke us with their attitude prouder then most!

30 wins in 34 games, incredible.

As for the game itself, decent, not great, but decent enough. Brighton had a real go and could have scored more. We were fairly open, and won 3-1, and we always looked like we had more to give if need be, so cant really complain.

It was nice to see Neco get a half at left back. Not enough to form any conclusions yet, but enough to say it was promising and well worth giving him more of a chance there to see if the back up conundrum to Robbo can be solved in house.

Keita was great. Mo hungry, and a little greedy perhaps, but a nice brace. He really wants another golden boot and looked frustrated to miss an easy header for the hat-trick at the end.

I hope Hendo’s knee is OK. Bit concerned about Ox too, as his form isn’t great and unless he improves, he may become a peripheral figure. Still, Klopp loves him, and he fought so hard to overcome serious injury, so he will be given time and patience to find his level again. Not a major concern, but one to watch.

92 points, 4 games to go, Jones last game, Neco this game... Elliott next game?

Fantastic game, well played. It appears the boys are on a roll. Mo did get a little greedy towards the end but, Hey, that’s Mo! Two great scores by him. Looks like we’re going to break some records!

Question - do we need to be concerned with Salah and Mane? I’m not sure that they like each other that much and Is there going to be an element of Mane Wanting to leave to get out of Salahs shadow?

Clearly Mane is not always best pleased with Salah, because he can be a little selfish and shoot when the pass is the better option, but i still think they both appreciate what they give to the side. As for being in his shadow, i think most fans along with the media, have said all season Mane has been better out of the two, and along with Henderson would be favorite for Player of the Year.
