3 points in the bag is what counts. We controlled the game well and it was comfortable in the end.:celebrating:
Good goals and Mo has to be more of a team player. His assist on the 3rd goal was actually unintentional: he miscontrolled the ball and luckily it fell nicely for Bobby.
Glad that Shaq had a chance to play... :well done:

Hendo MOTM for me, really nice to see us dominate at Turf Moor, I am happier with a win there than Old Trafford...I truly hate the way they "play".
Mo was on form but made me as mad as Sadio by not lifting up his head and playing the pass to the unmarked man. Mane needs some loving, he gives a lot of himself and needs more love back.
Was really pleased with our performance from start to finish, happy to see Shaq and Ox & Origi get some minutes, hard to judge them on that. Looks like Adrian has benefitted from a few weeks of training, he's no Alisson but is doing the job.
Onward , upward, 5 star performance to the traveling Kop, mmmmm never mind let's say 6 stars ;)

Can't blame Mane for being angry. We should have won 6-0 with better decision making by Salah.

It happens, I'm sure Klopp will sort it out.

Does highlight something to me though - the only thing that can slow this team down is us creating issues for ourselves.
I have to agree about Mo being really greedy today. His shooting was really poor like he’s trying to hard to score. Mane was right to be upset, that was blatant poor teamwork!

Yes, Mo does have a tendency to be a bit greedy and blinkered when he has the ball around the edge of the box. I was getting angry with him and said a few choice words myself, but the difference was there were no TV cameras on me sending pictures around the world.

We are just awesome. That's always one of the hardest games we have every season but we just breezed through it. I am trying not to take this continued brilliance for granted. We make it look easy but every game we are under huge pressure. City's standards mean we can never relax. It makes what we are doing even more incredible.

So many great individual performances as ever from all the usual suspects, basically everybody, but I thought Adrian was worth a mention. Wasn't overworked but I thought he might be a weak link for us today and I couldn't have been more wrong. Totally focused throughout. He inspired confidence.

On the Mane incident, I am glad he lost it with Mo. I lost it with him too. We have got to be ruthless. The margins at the end of the season will be tiny. Every goal is crucial and every chance we have to kill a game off has got to be taken. It wasn't so much the one when he didn't play it to Mane (who may have been offside) but the earlier one when he tried a piss weak shot with his right foot rather than play in Bobby. The score was still 2-0 then and we could have killed the game stone dead.

I love this team and manager though so I can never be angry with them for long. I was even chuffed for Shaqiri that he got his 6 minutes.

Fab was my MOTM . kept things tidy as an hospital janitor.
As for Mane, i want my strikers to be greedy and his reaction will change as he remembers he has done the same, a non issue for me
This is a team that is barely out of second gear .
Virg imperious in the air calm as you like. but Fab has cemented his place ,great awareness and so valuable to the back three.
Game management was always our weakness, but now when up 2 you can rest easy. no more squeaky bum.
Brilliant stuff from our boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MOTM Milner. I love him

I will have to ask @Scott Jones this.
I thought Scheisse was Sh*t in German. So is Kacke ( how do you pronounce it ka ka?) is it posh way to say Scheisse? In another language (pashto) it means uncle
It is the same in English Kak and in french it is caca pronounced KAKA but for the benefit of @Livvy the mild one is Pooh.

No poll this week? I'm going for Adrian as MotM. Nothing exceptional but a couple of decent saves and his (and the team's) first clean sheet of the season. I'm looking forward to Allison getting back to fitness but I'm so glad we have this guy on board.

Other than that? Great day for Trent but our forwards need to realise that it is a team game.

12/12 going into the first break of the season. Can't complain about that. Onwards and upwards...

Great result today :celebrating: a well deserved victory :celebrating: delighted with the performance. :celebrating:

I believe it is good to see a keen competitiveness between the front three and that they show that hunger to score and that passion to won. In days past we had players that would have hid and displayed no desire. These boys are different, we now have winners with the right mentality.

Well done Redmen - three more points in the bag. YNWA :celebrating: Champions of Europe. :D

I agree on the 2-0 when he should have slotted Firmino in, but he does have the most assists.

Anyhow it is nothing, just gives the tossers on Tv something to go on about because we didn’t concede.

Watched it at home - been a busy day.

Had a smirk when Southampton equalised earlier today. Then the same with Sheffield united.

We played a different rugged style - kind of played Burnley at their own game. I don’t think they knew what hit them.

Nice comfy win. Well done.

And those of you wondering where @ScottJones is - well I asked him yesterday how many years he’s been 42 - and he’s gone looking.

In the meantime, let’s enjoy the break!

Dyche is such an alehouse manager. The camera panned on him just before KO and he shouted the most Sunday league manager thing ever..."Turn us round so the keeper has the sun in his eyes!". I couldn't believe it. He has his team on the training field all week and all the prep and info he has given his players about us goes out the window when he notices the suns out.
As I said in the match thread - as soon as Sun went in or we swapped ends that was Burnleys manager all out of ideas!

I particularly enjoyed Bobby grabbing Sadio by the scruff and telling him to let it go. Let us have that MoM poll. The people demand it.
If there's no poll it means that high command decided to award the whole team -which they don't deserve- it was a disgusting display of outright pornography at times today - a bloke my age can't support such outrageous filth.

In this case, it means I cannot remember how we were doing the polls this season, 1 vote per or something else.

Great controlled win. Happy to finally get a clean sheet. VVD my motm. Jesus if the ball is within 2 m of him he's guaranteed to deal with it. Don't know what the stats were but I think he dominated today in all the defensive stats.

Now to the incident. I saw Mane was seething as he was running off the pitch. I think he's pissed that he was subbed and not Salah particularly with how selfish Mo has been today and in all the games so far this season. I think Mo is not really in great form and he's not really playing the team game. Two years ago Sadio was the one not in form and he was making selfish decisions. So it goes around in cycles. It wasn't just the chance before his sub today. I recall 3 times when Salah didn't pass when it should have instinctively been his first choice. And that's been a theme so far. He'll come out of it as the season progresses.

Now as for Sadio's reaction. I'm going to admit he's my favourite player and he's become by far the most lethal player we have so keep that in mind . But I think that because he's quite an introverted kind of guy he's never had the same level of support as our other forwards. Unless he's got a new song, I very rarely hear his 'Oh Mane Mane' song being belted out after scoring. Today I heard it briefly maybe 3 mins after he scored. I do wonder whether there is actual resentment toward Salah.. well there usually is when two forwards are fighting for dominance in the same team. Probably makes me appreciate Bobby even more...
The reason he is being subbed is because Klopp feels he needs rest given that he had no preseason. It sure didn't look like he needed rest today though. I thought he was fantastic. The tension between him and Salah worries me a little bit because it could end up with one of them wanting out. But, I am sure that they will get over it.
