Summary: we have ridden our luck to 40 points. Now we sit second behind Brighton. Ancelotti has given the league the blueprint to stop us.We will be a selling club in January, getting rid of Ox, Gomez, Lallana, Shaq, and KEITA. Maybe sell Matip too because he is made of glass. Perhaps we can get Havertz and Sancho and Coutinho and Koulibaly. Then we will have a chance. Even so we really need to organize this defense, especially now that Hendo has to replace Fabinho despite being unable to lead, make a forward pass, or position himself. The good news is we fluked our way to 6. At least we have that.

Oh and YNWA.

That was diabolical refereeing for the Brighton goal. Having sent off Allison, rightly, and with the wait for the substitute goalie there is no reasonable expectation for a quick free kick and even if there was, the play was stopped for a decent time after Adrian was on and he allowed the wall to be set up etc. He then inexplicably took a step back having had prior communication with the Brighton player, who was clearly expecting the whistle given the reaction time to get the shot away, and blew almost simultaneously with the shot getting away.

He was good up to that point, Atkinson, but this clearly shows a level of duplicity in his actions that may have been disguised as simple incompetence in the past. While that may have strictly been in the laws of the game, it is absolutely a decision biased in favour of one side over the other. Fuck him, we still won a game we were coasting through until he decided to 'level' the playing field. If ever a referee was in need of a career ending knee ligament injury, it is this fucking cunt.

A win for us, Chelski lose, Shitty draw even though they led the game twice, twice twice!!!!! The media will fawn all over the rebirth of the special one, and try to make stories of how we'll mess up in December.

And yet, we still come out with 3 points each time.

Great result, dreadful performance. Defensively we were poor and give up way too many easy chances. I'm getting flashbacks from Roy Evans time in charge where despite having some wonderful players they couldn't keep the ball out of their own net. No clean sheet in 12 shows the fear is well founded. I'm sure people will counter by pointing to the long unbeaten run but lately we have defended very poorly and generally gotten away with it.
I want to win playing good attacking football while defending solidly at the same time, last season we routinely performed like this.
I was shocked to see Becker do something so reckless because I always considered his decision making to be top class. Klopp needs to get a grip on the defensive side of our game IMO because a major slip is coming unless he does.

Yes I will. Just let these stats sink in.

14 games played. Scoring more than 2 goals per game. Conceding less than 1 goal per game.

it's a serious statement we're making in the league this season...
* first and only clean sheet was in week1 (home vs Sheff U)
* not playing too well but enough to win
Imagine how well we'd do if everything does click and we play as we know we can...

Worse of performance of the season. Went into halftime sloppy came out in the 2nd halftime and did no better possibly performed worse. Is it fatigue, complacency who knows but it nearly cost us.

The table looks fck**g beautiful
credit to their goalkeeper for making them saves, otherwise we would have won that in a canter
Don’t blame our keeper because he didn’t have much of a choice
He's the world's best goalie. But he happens to play for Liverpool Football Club. Of course there's gonna be the odd brainfart and general fuck ups, it goes with the territory.

Klopp has only himself to blame for the final minutes shit show. That’s the way I see it, when Liverpool is leading, somewhere between 60-70th minute, the first sub comes on and the team’s tactics changes, less pressure & not to concede. Inevitably it invites the opposition to press. As a result the last minutes of the game are “heart attack” zone. Having said that, three points in the bag, hopefully, comes May no will remember this game when we will lift the trophy. Onwards we march

I am still a bit gob smacked at the Allison brain fart, but we squeezed out another 3pts, and that is huge on a day where some of our closest rivals dropped points. I have a big grin on my face thinking about the Citeh team garnering a bit of hope, after our game goes 2-1, and then dashing that hope as the game stays that way. Citeh will be having nightmares about Liverpool 2-1 score lines.

Still feel that Mo should be rested for about 3 games to fully recover. Let Origi get a decent three game run. Mo can come back fresh, and Origi and get some minutes to feel his way back in.
