How Everton kept 11 men on the pitch is a fucking miracle.

Well the boys have proved what they are made of today - pump your chests out and be proud, be very, very proud of our boys!

But we owe an awful lot to Lucas today. He was a giant out there when the blue boots were flying in!

    Great game.

They should've been down to 9 men, Lukaku is a joke lol.

Oh and our fans leaving before the final whistle, what's that all about?

Well, that was fun, aside from all the stamping and kicking of our players and whatnot. I've gone for Coutinho as MOTM because I can't be bothered to think.

Really hope Klopp doesn't use the old "<manager x> wouldn't send his players out to hurt anyone" in his presser

    That was pretty blatant imo

Great win, great football from the only team on the pitch that tried to play football.Taylor was insipid today as ref. Williams should get retrospective ban for first half stamp on Can but I doubt it will happen. Barkley is a cunt. Called Cou playing himseld into form against a weakened everton defence. Glad Origi got on the scoresheet, he's got a lot of potential and hopefully this shuts up the people who have been saying we should sell him. Mane is a beast, hopefully he's not out for long. Can't wait to hear Koemoan whinging in his post match presser.

Don't know why there were so many pre-match nerves on the thread... we never lose to Everton, end of story.

Lovren and Lucas were surprisingly boss today.

    We were great.

Barkley is a disgrace. Rest of them weren't much better. Bunch of dirty, cheating thugs and I'm once again appalled they were allowed, if not actually encouraged, to keep getting away with it.

Coutinho sparkled, Origi looked great when coming on, TAA looks an exciting prospect, CBs dealt with everything well.

    Lukaku was a non-event. £60m? You're having a laugh.

Worried about Mane, hoping for good news.

Onwards and upwards. CL here we come.

That was well worth watching, great performance and 3 points.
Probably never in doubt, but still on the edge of the seat.
Think that private jet was justified, delighted for Origi.
Can was in line for a bit of attention from the blueshite today, came out of it well.
Well pleased with the lads today!

This sort of decided my MotM, despite there being a lot of contenders. That is a brilliant run to pull defenders away from a scorer, a superb hit to retake the lead, and dribble penetration then a pass to give Origi a huge look at the goal. Score is 3-1, that answers the question.

But what is notable is that no one had a game I'd rate below 6 out of 10, maybe better.

And that's largely down to our excellent center-back pairing. I've given MoM to Matip because of this, but apart from one or two blips, Lovren was very good too. Really good against an aggressive and dangerous side and a striker on the top of his game.

Apart from that, taking the chances when they came along was absolutely crucial, and in the end, it was what took apart the two sides. The genuine Coutinho is back, Mané is as dangerous as ever (hopefully nothing bad with his injury, fingers crossed!), and Firmino, although not scoring, was his usual disturbing factor for the opposition.

As for the midfield, the players coped very well with the absences of Lallana and Henderson. Lucas, Wijnaldum and Can were very combative, which was obviously needed for this game.

Important win for us today. Yeaih!!! :celebrating:
