Well that’s 2 hours of life I’ll never get back. Sneaked off work early, walked home in a fucking monsoon just to watch basically a pre season friendly. I have had to resort to googling facts about Uk farming in the politics thread.

Monterrey looked better than Flamengo yesterday, much more combative in midfield. Think we'll get more space in the final.

We offered them a little hope and snatched it away late. Vintage Liverpool.

Keita's movement off the ball is class, as is his driving at the opposition defence with it. Looking really, really good.

Never really the best sign when most of us vote for Allison, but there it is. Was a fun game to watch, they were a much better side than many, including our players, maybe thought. Their theatrics irritating of course, but we know this is how southern teams roll, so should come as no surprise to any of us.

Still, thank you Salah for that wonderful dribble and pass to Bobby ! Allison still our best man though. The final we will win, time for underestimation is most probably over after this game ;) :)

Another iffy performance but again another win. Thought Keita was the pick of a poor midfield and Joe and Henderson did okay. Allison won the game for us with a top class performance. Origi is so frustrating he is either brilliant or rubbish....tonight it was the latter. Just glad it didn't go to extra time. An easy MOM, well done Allison.

Injuries, illness and rotation saw a strange team selection and a disjointed performance. They employed the dark arts, as expected, while we were a bit lethargic. But at some point you have to wonder if it is all part of the plan? It's almost as if Klopp knows the team will just spar, even for 80 mins, staying with them, treading water, but not really clicking... until near the end, when we have to do it, and we do.

It's incredible really. Time after time.

The next game is bigger. A final. A better opponent. And a trophy on the line. We will be a bit more adjusted having been in country for a few days. I fully expect the level to go up and the trophy to come home.

Their manager? Just a fat Robert Downey Jr really. No mark.

Dr. A Becker clearly motm today , because of him never in doubt. Gave the squad a nice walk out - brought TAA ,Sadio and Bobby on to sweep up.
Flamengo bricking it now for shure.
Considering our line up quite a feat this. Basicly a bunch of attacking midfielders with a striker and the occasional fullback mixed in.

Kloppo knows best.

Thank fuck we won in normal time. Very average against a team that was giving everything they had and then some, but we got the job done at the end thanks to the class of some individual players, namely Salah and TAA. Wonderful assists by both of them, TAA's especially. Keita had a very nice game as well.

Now go on and win this thing, preferably with Van Dijk at the back and with less drama.
