Well, one of our poorest first halves this season followed by one of our best halves! Absolutely slaughtered them in the second half, whatever was said at the break worked! In the end, a totally deserved result and a lovely boost to our GD.

We march on!

Never in doubt.

A dismal first half performance- although we should have had a penalty and then McCarthy did well to keep out VVD and Bobby near the end of the first period- was clearly all Klopp needed to light a rocket under the lads’ arses at half time.

Let’s not forget that this Southampton team had won its last four away games and was third in the form table before kick off. In the second half, we made them look like relegation fodder.

Four goals; three points. It’s great to see that this team can just shift through the gears seemingly at will. Some might argue that we should kill the games off early, so that key players can rest from the hour mark, and they have a point.

Of course, the critics will say that it’s all down to VAR. What they overlook is how many times we’ve been robbed over the years without the replay system in place to correct the hundreds of bad decisions which have gone against us.

MOTM: those fine young men at Yorkshire Dales Brewery in Leyburn. If you ever see their Salted Caramel Porter on in a pub, try it. Fabulous stuff.

7 wins to go.. Equalled the Forest record of 42 games unbeaten.. Records falling. Salah and Bobby hitting form.. A team driven by Henderson what a captain.. So many amazing players.

But we don't get nice things? It's never our year.. Finally fucking finally!!!!!

And at a fucking canter..

Hope in your heart

Loyalty and patience, two undervalued concepts.

After a very difficult first half against a tough opponent, Klopp and his lads managed to find solutions. Any threat Southampton were posing before the break evaporated. Total and utter domination during the second half, and four deserved (and beautiful) goals.

Our lads do it again: 22 points ahead!!!

What a mad box of frogs match that was today. Despite the kind of shit first half it might very well have been my favourite of the season in the second.
As much as Hendo deserved motm today , with a goal, an assist and an overall majestic captain's performance , it has to be a group vote for the defense imho.
The levels of individual heroics in defensive actions was mind boggling (as was the avant garde experiment that was our defending over all today).
I really feel for Southampton , who must scratch their heads why they got fuck all from a match where they have produced the best opposition display at Anfield in my oppinion.

Inevitable. 42. 3 more. Next.

City to loose their next 2 games and us become champions end February! Madness at its best becoming reality with this Reds.
A mention to sotons for playing a good game of football.
Kop at full voice as always a joy to behold!!
Clean sheet habit is back. Scoring goals for fun as well. Life is WONDERFUL! Thanks Redmen! YNWA

Oh boy, our team sure does know how to win a game or two don't they. A pretty poor first half, some close (but not so close) shaves.. and we run out 4-goal winners. Our feeder club had numerous shots, but it seemed they were content with taking pot-shots at our goal and none were really close to troubling our majestic keeper.

Fabinho looked out of sorts, I'm pretty sure he's just lacking match fitness, hopefully after today he'll have fulfilled his requisite number of 'getting-back' minutes and will be back to the true Fab in the next game.

I'm running out of superlatives to describe our captain Henderson. His rise is so unexpected and so pleasant to watch, and he is truly answering all his critics in the best way possible.

And what about our great Clean Sheet Machine of VVD and JoGo. Certainly our top DC partnership, great decision-making and execution by both our centrebacks.

MOTM for me for this game would either be (again) Mo or Henderson, with Mo probably shading it just by a bit.

Just another 13 heart-stopping finals to go, YNWA!

We might not have won the league, but from this position, it would take a mighty collapse and a mighty string of winning runs from the other teams chasing for us not to. And if that happens, in a sick way, then yes we do not deserve to win the league.

But no, we are going to win the league.

And because we are so efficient and effective and relentless, it might make the whole thing seem so easy.

But its been 30 years. Fucking Hell. Great players have come and gone. Some fans have gone. Its an entire era. 30 fucking years. Its not easy. And I hope this is the start of a great era.

Ok sorry getting carried away.
