Not worried at all. If I had to pick one loss in this group stage, it would be at Napoli. And we had several opportunities to win it. Plus, losing this one is a wakeup call that we can't simply coast our way through the group stage.

Just take care of business otherwise and there's no reason why we can't win the group, let alone qualify for the knockout stages.

Not particularly arsed about last night, we'll still go through to the knockout phase.
Hopefully no injuries for the weekend demolition of fat Franks mob.

On the penalty, it was soft to say the least.
But if that was Salah at the other end and it wasn't given, this place would be in meltdown.

Perspective.

Something must be done about travelling fans safety in Italy. The LFC club were saying not to wear club colours and eat inside the hotels. I mean what the hell is that about?

The racism is also still terrible. If they ban the Italian clubs from Europe, then the Italian FA will wake up.

I wouldn't write him off yet. Klopp has a special role for him in key matches. Klopp needs to rotate his players well, so I am sure Shaquiri will feature in some matches.
I’m sure he’s well up for MK Dons next week :)

disappointed by the result and the way we played. We let them off the hook, because our lads are much better players, but unfortunately seemed to have an off day.
Better to get a loss out of our system and hoping that this is the only game we lose all season and of course, seasons to come.

Every fucking time fans have to go to Italy we have attacks and hospitalisation. And not only is the intimidation and threat of violence abhorant it gives them an advantage, as away fans stay away. That only encourages and emboldens them.

About time the other national federations lobbied UEFA to sanction them. Starting with closed doors games, bans for travelling fans and if violence continues European bans.

It’s the only way these cunts will learn.

Talking of Salah he was fouled, studs up follow through the lot just outside their area the ref didn't even blink. Milner was furious and rightly so I'm with Milner you can support who you like.
There was also the elbow in Firmino's face in the box, not even a card.
The ref was appaling all through the match the worst I've seen in a long time!

Koulibaly had his hand in Mané's face too early on.

I think we played well and deserved a draw. Napoli away is the hardest group game and I think we will still go through.

I am a supporter of VARS but not in this idiotic form . An obvious dive marred a good game, and three chimpanzees could have done a better job than the VARS refs !

apparently only two Italian journalists put their hands up to Klopp's question on who thought it was a penalty in the after match presser.
Klopp's reply:
"Only two guys in the room think it's a penalty then it's still a penalty, they both wear glasses but mine are the right prescription!”
it must be in their DNA to cheat.

UEFA should really throw them out and let the Dutch league take their place

He used to be at least average. But whenever Felix Brych has reffed big games recently, I only recall poor performance.
He looks like he thinks he's more important than the players.
Milner showed him up as the cheat he is and also gave him some good lectures. Whoever is responsible for selecting such shit should hold their heads in shame and get sacked!

Disgusting behaviour by italian thugs yet again and idiots on
Two Liverpool fans assaulted ahead of Champions League match with Napoli - Mirror Online
where joking about our fans being attacked.

Peter Moore doing the Club proud by standing up for one of ours in a time of need yet again.
It seems that every time we have a game in Italy, this kind of things happen, and that's without discussing what happened before the Roma game at Anfield. It's disgusting, there is such a culture of violence and racism among Italian fans... A real shame for such an otherwise beautiful and cultured country.

But they have a genuine political problem there: since the end of WW2, they are probably the nearest to full-fledged fascism they have ever been (not inventing this, I have family in Rome, and people told me that it is really bad, the fascists are everywhere). Those attacks, and the fact that nothing gets done against it, are a symptom of it.

Something must be done about travelling fans safety in Italy. The LFC club were saying not to wear club colours and eat inside the hotels. I mean what the hell is that about?

Yeah I agree, they should be banned. The recurrence of these events are far too regular.

What were you on about? o_O
He said that he thought if the situations were reversed, we’d have been screaming for the pen. I disagree, and so will most people, but that’s no reason to question his support.

Move on now please.

That shit was nota a penalty, but was a really good dive, Callejón takes advantage of Robertson's poor and casual defensive effort.

Aboyt the rest of the match, we had the ball but were clueless at the same time. Disjointed performance. Fabian was going past the midfield at will. Koulibaly didn't put a foot wrong, even Llorente looked reborn. Yes, they were trying to overwhelm the referee and some diving, but were also the Vetter team on the field.

For me it was the worst hidding the European Champion can possibly take without being scandalous (Barca i'm looking a you).

Napoli is like us some years Ago. Will give a fight to the bigger teams and then go to Sassuolo and lose 3-0.

I think they will reach Semis and put Juve in serious trouble.

Hopefully

Respectfully disagree. Neither were we disjointed, nor was our midfield poor, nor was Koulibaly flawless and definitely it was never the worst hiding and all. The front three were lacking at bit, and it is always a difficult place to go and play. They were good no doubt, but on the run of play we fared pretty well.
Semis is way too ambitious for them. Teams like city struggle to get there, doubt napoli over course of season can be this good throughout.

Always, at least a few away fans are attacked.

Just want to know, we never have this much trouble with La Liga fans, Ligue Un or Bundesliga fans right?

Dominic King was there and he felt that there was something ominous and he didn't feel safe walking the streets there, even in the safe areas.

I said it in the pre-match thread but this constant go to Milner/Henderson midfield combo away from home in Europe needs knocking on its head. Simply does not work.
