I wanted to check it out anyway. At this point, you almost have to make up shit to speak bad about us. Maybe that’s what they were trying to do to lose viewership from the ManUre and plastics fans in the US
I didn’t say they were negative on us. It was one of them commenting on the skipper.

I’m biased, but I don’t think they’ve been all that positive about us until they’ve been left no choice. But that’s the world in general :)

Heart was thumping throughout the match. Must be the colour of Norwich kit that made me thought of banana skins. What a tight game. When the Canaries were in our half, I got quite nervous. Cantwell annoyed me to no end as if he were like autumn leaf, easily blown onto the ground and the ref gave him the advantage.

Kudos to the travelling Koppites singing their hearts out. Also respect to the Norwich supporters. At the bottom of the league but still full house and vocal.

Random thoughts about the match other that my 3 picks posted earlier:
The good stuff:
Bobby, oh Bobby, he was amazing today. Killed the ball with a gentle touch, those hooked passes. Wow. Missed a sitter with 5 minutes to go to kill the game. I would have picked him as one of my 3 picks if not for Ali's brilliance.

Keita looked much better today. I think that he did pretty well. Pretty sharp in the final third. He caused a lot of panicky reactions from Norwich's defences. Some good chances on goal. One will come soon enough.

Can't imagine anyone wanted to face Mo. He was effective today holding the ball, linking up with Keita. There was one particular set up at around 20th minutes that I thought if Keita could punch through the defence, he would have been clean through.

Gomez: At around 28th and a half minutes, how about that move as if he was going to pass the ball back to Ali, then turned and carried the ball further into safety, then passed it to Keita?. The Norwich player just spinned like a top when Gomez did that.

Fab: Really happy to see that most, of not all of the rust has gone. Looked pretty good when he came on, and of course freeing up Hendo to affect the game up front.

The not sio good stuff:
TAA's passes were poor today. I don't think we could really blame some of the passes on the wind when those poor passes were the ground balls.

I have seen Ox played the left wing twice, I don't think he is suited in that position. Nevertheless, he had a really good back heel pass that gave Robbo a great chance to cross the ball at the byline.

Onto my 3 picks:
1. Hendo: Captain Fantastic again. The NBC commentaries were singing high praises. He was the "Interrupter" against most of Norwich's attack. He was spraying balls left, right and centre, creating so many chances (and one ended up with Mane's goal). Though, there was one heart in the mouth moment as one of his cross field pass almost cost us.

2. Ali: Important outstretch arm keeping the game at 0-0. We will never know if that was an offside. Ali did not want to take any chances. Very good distributions. However, I found that it was really odd that with only 5 minutes to go in regulation time, he decided to have long goal kick rather than play from the back.

3. Mane: The 3 subs that came on changed the game. While Ox was not too effective on the left, Sadio turned that upside down and caused so many problems for Norwich. Robbo, Mane and Keita triumvirate on the left were a delightful sight. Oh, that goal, that goal (100th). (Pretty funny interview too).

Big shout out to Robbo: Worked tirelessly with those bright untanned legs of his!

Typical Norwich, eh. Make their supporters think they'll nick something, then... Parenthetically, every time I watch Tim Krul play, I'm impressed. Couple handy saves from him. Got beat at the near post, but what a shot from Mane. Lot of pace on it. In spite of Norwich City's table position, I like the way Daniel Farke sets them up. They play fearless, entertaining football. They'll do well to keep him on board, though I would imagine he might be off to greener pastures after this season.

Our train rolls on.

I wasn't worried for a second when they were 2v1 vs Alisson. Don't think there's a single player in this squad that doesn't deserve a PL medal. No passengers in this side.
I wasn't worried as I thought it was off side. The replay indicated that it was pretty close thing the offside 1 player offside but didn't recieve the ball the other well that would have been for VAR. I was pleased Allisson was there just to make sure even if the pass was total shit.

I've (almost lost count as it's been so fucking long) said it 24 times and I'll say it YET-A-FUCKING-GAIN:

Back to where we were around March (2019). Win every game from here and we'll win this FUCKING SHINY SPIKY RED RIBBONED CUNT.

Norwich gave us a good fight on a day where we were rusty. Wind also played a role, but can't hide from the fact that we were also rusty. So Norwich got to be dangerous now and then which we know they can be. Still, in the end, like I predicted, we did raise our game just enough and got away from Norwich with another nice 3 pointer in hand. We are unstoppable. MotM not sure, I got visitors for board game in the start of the second half, which is why I didn't continue posting. Had half an eye on the match and watched that awesome goal. My impression from watching with only half an eye was the Mane changed the game, so MotM to him maybe ? Voted that anyway,

Gritty performance after the break and full credit to Norwich had someone else been in goal they would have been 1 or 2 up if it, that smother by Alison was ridiculous.

Captain fantastic is my man of the match, the guy was immense today, some of his passing was Alonso-esque the assist was beautiful. What really stood out for me though was the amount of times he sniffed away a half chance for Norwich and got to the ball that little bit quicker than anyone else. He was just huge. His form has been relentless and leadership has got better and better as a result. Made up for him.

Mane’s goal was beautiful taken made an impact when he came on and was good to see him gets some minutes before Atleti. Some nice midfield rotation by Klopp too, Fab, Hendo and Gini to start midweek.

5 to go.

Loving that we secured champions league football in February, especially a day after man shitty found out that they can’t even be in it
A little late to the party aren't you?
It was already done and dusted on 31st May 2019.
In case you are not aware or have forgotten, as defending champion, we are already assured of UCL2020.

it seems disingenious to single out anyone in this team, who to a man are giving everything and doing exactly what is needed to give us something truly incredible.

but my god jordan henderson has dragged us through yet another game.

he is the crew. the vessel. the embodiment of everything that is, has been, and will be, liverpool. the fuxking captain.

I cant stop watching the Firmino to Gini no look pass @ 12:40 - stunning piece of artwork
I cant stop watching Becker stopping the pass for a certain goal
I wish Norwich could stay up - so much more enjoyable to watch than a bunch of other teams

...... Just how bloody great are we?
...... I would hate not to be a LFC supporter right now.
Spare some sympathy for the blue loonies. They are either bound for the asylum or just escaped from some form of mental institutions. ;):ROFLMAO:

Was sloshed for the game.
Everything is a blurr except that sexy save from alisson and mane's sublime touch.
Alisson is THE FUCKING ALPHA of this team.
Makes it look so easy.
No amazing heartstopping headturning saves from him.
Every save he did are so routine and boring.
Alisson out! ;):giggle::D

ps. As an aside, since we in all likelihood will be crowned champions at least 2 months ahead of anticipated date, will you be considering bringing your wedding forward? :)

Smug, blasé and complacent yet?
Maybe us fans a bit but not those boys. There are still a minimum of 15 times that someone could take what's ours away from us. Our three points, our champions of Europe title, or the chance of their young lives for some of the kids.
Norwich players on the day deserve a lot of credit. Their home advantage was minimised by the travelling Kop and their better knowledge of this particular pitch's condition and dimensions made moot by the wind. Hats off to their manager too. That Lemmy look-a-like.

Watched the game at about 2am in the morning. Hope the lackadaisical performance last night was due to rustiness and weather condition more than anything else. Our next opponent at Atheletico is a different animal altogether... should we tweak our starting 11 by bringing in Minamino?

My goodness... is the gap really that BIG!?
remember when every media outlet was saying the title race included Leicester?.....until Boxing Day of course.

I was a little cranky yesterday. Nabby really frustrates me. He was marginally better 2nd half (bar the 1 yard miss) but until 75th minute his passing was off and just wasn’t in the game. Probably didn’t help that Gini had a really poor game as well.

big plus was Fabinho looked back to his best. Made an instant difference to the midfield. When Mane came on it he,ped Robbo as well he seemed to move up a gear.
