What an amazing win.

Suarez was just outstanding. If he can carry on playing like that then we'll be in the mix.

Defense was great, sterling scoring from a first touch, clean sheet, stevie g being a boss, revenge from the earlier loss this season

Now that we are in second, can we sing the champions league song? We won it five times, we won it five times.....next season, we'll win it 6 times!

To be in the title hunt in March is amazing. We're looking more and more likely to easily achieve CL this year, 3rd at least in my opinion. It's been a really fun season to watch, 10 more to go.

No matter what happens from here, if win win it or loose it, the title will be decided by us in the games against City and Chelsea at Anfield.

Just Magical.

What a result for us. I'd like to think we've nearly done enough to ensure top 4 now, title talk..? we can start to dream :)

Chelsea vs Spurs next week, that'll hopefully be either 4th confirmed or title race even more on then it is already!

Suarez finally break his goal-scoring drought (by his standards), this should be great for getting him fired up for the team that nearly undid his career in this country.

Away win with clean sheet, great confidence booster ahead of the big match at the Toilet, where hopefully we'll be responsible for the sacking of another EPL manager.

Said it last week, our title challenge is in our own hands. We now hold our own destiny in our own hands. Its now up to the players to believe that they are good enough, as good as anyone, as good as those teams who spent a fortune, as good as previous Liverpool title winning teams and go out there in the last 10 games and destroy the oppositions.

Nothing to complain with cleansheets and 3 goals scored, 3 solid points. Up to second spot....

Much better performance in the 2nd half and good to finally get a clean sheet! Talk of a title are still premature. We will need to beat the Mancs away before I even start thinking about that. Just happy we have moved above Arsenal for now and hopefully that will put some added pressure on them.

Get in. Now we can build on that defensive performance. So proud of our younger players today. Raheem especially showed everyone how to press. He was everywhere.

But who created or scored all 3? The best forward in the world. And the 3rd won't even be considered an "assist" for him.

Some people about 30 miles east of Anfield are a bit worried about who they are facing next....

Excellent result with a clean sheet no less!

Sheer luck got us through in the first half but in the second we obliterated them. Scored two, could have got a few more and controlled the match. Couldn't have asked for a better outing against our bogey team.

Special mention to Sterling who had a big impact to our second half.
Well done everyone, keep on winning.

Rodgers' was smart to delay new contract talk because it gives more opportunity to exceed expectations!!! :)

I like how he scolded coutinho and bringing on the more hardworking sterling.

Great result that. Another vital win, against quite a decent side away from home, which cannot be underestimated. Really pleasing. We're learning to close out victories now.

Let be honest, Chelsea will win the league.

But we gonna push that far toward the very end on tittle contenders....
... after we mathematiclaly secure top 4, of course

PS: Sturridge have that problem with under performances when he under pressures/ need prove a point. I think the scoring 8 matches thingy got on his head and really affected his game today. Good on BR to remind him that nothing worth more than a team win, and he is mature enough to realise that

Player reaction Southampton 0-3 Liverpool
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard: "We dropped points last year and we have learned our lesson.

"We made the decision to leave our two up front all the time, and if teams want to go two on two against Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge - then all the best."
