Who wants to create the thread for the PSG game? lol
Who has the best record so far?

Klopp mentioned that Firmino is doing a different role on the pitch. Has he moved from the false no 9 role? Can someone please explain what Firmino new role is, because I am lost. Thanks.
He was playing much deeper - more of a false 10 - at one point he was receiving the ball from Allison in our half.
False 9, false 10? Bloody hell, does the lad do anything that isn't false?

Frankly, we don't need to ask. We simply need to look at the post history. There is a cadre of posters who have basically nothing to say at all when things are going well, but become prolific in adversity.
I agree. There’s something about posting on forums that brings out the worst in some people and they react in a way that they wouldn’t do if say we were in the pub after the game. I am sure as a Mod you must’ve get a pretty jaundiced view of some of our fan base. There are a lot of angry keyboard warriors out there and quite of few of them seem to support our club.

Fabinho, Keita, Milner, Gini is pretty good depth no?
Fabinho is still trying to get to grips with the English game, making him very inconsistent. Same goes for Keita who is also just coming back from injury. Essentially, we have only 2 men left and one of them requires us to manage his gametime to prevent burnout.

I haven’t seen this mentioned - I noticed how involved Pepjin Lijnders was when reshaping the team after Hendo’s send off. I know he’s been involved this season from the dugout but this is the most demonstrative I’ve seen him.

Also we were rock solid with 10 men it must be said, scoring a goal as well. Hopefully a sign of his growing influence.

Your sums don't add up.. Gini/Milner = 2? So add one of the players getting up to speed (Keita/Fabinho) = 4.. So 1 on the bench? With Henderson resting and making himself undroppable for PSG tomorrow he and the sub are the definition of depth no?

He pulled him back in the coutinho role where he was far more effective even though he is scoring less goals but as he said he is very important to the team he also said there were some German coaches watching the game and they told Klopp how good he was. Some teams realising that he was essential to the front two were marking him out of the game which disrupted the flow of the team, by putting him there he solved two problems stopping counter attacks without stopping Bobby from supplying deadly passes to the front three. Rafa was a tactical machine on his own but Klopp and his team of trainers are an even more effective one. When something works and we score he always shares his celebrations with them.

Assuming Klopp goes slightly more defensive which will see him leave Shaqiri out, we have 3 in midfield. Gini and Milner will be pencilled in to, Leaving us an axis of Hendo, Gini & Milner who has only kept 1 clean sheet ( against an opponent below the top 6 in the PL) and have not kept a clean sheet against PSG so far. Fabinho and Keita will most likely be on the bench and those 2 lads are still adapting to Klopp's style of play.

Milner will need to be managed which will see Fabinho come in for him at some point at around 70th min. After the PSG match, how many midfielders are still considered fresh against the bitters?

Keita? Never mind adapting to Klopp's style, he's still not fully fit after just recovering from an injury.
Gini? He would have played 180 minutes consecutively after the watford game and the PSG game. He would have been shattered.
Milner and Fabinho will be reasonably fit enough. Shaqiri will be fresh too. However, for the bitters match, Milner and fabinho will highly likely to start with Shaqiri.

So which fresh midfielder do we have left on the bench for the bitters' match? We will only have Keita who is really the real depth we have. And young Curtis Jones?

Players can play consecutive games without their legs falling off. That's not a problem. It becomes a problem if they're playing 5 or 6 games consecutively with only 3 or 4 days rest between each game. Klopp has more than enough options currently to make sure that doesn't happen.

Do you really think Fabinho wouldn't be 'fresh' for the derby if he came off the bench for 20 minutes? Come off it.

He also said Milner needs managing. He’s just had a fortnight off, and only did 25mins against Watford.
