Anyone we haven't beaten yet? Oh yeah, Shrewsbury!

That game was disturbingly routine but largely down to Allison as MotM. Also went for Henderson and Salah who was the most creative I've seen him for a while - not always successfully but lots of flicks and passes in the box.

Not to piss in everyone's punch, so to speak, but I find this all bloody anticlimactic... Not to say I'm not getting pissed and will be dancing in the street when we do get the trophy, but you get my meaning.

Yes and no. I'd like us to start next season playing much more fluently once this psychological burden has been taken off their minds. I want to skip to August in a way to see if they can do exactly that.

Our boys are back to scaring our oppositions. Hammers were staying in their little toolbox, with the occasion attack (decent attacks too) that required Ali and the post (damn, TAA, you thought Ali was really bored, aren't you?!) to put the padlock back on and lock up that beat up Hammers' toolbox.

The Hammers really did not have any ambitions to come forward. The chances they got were mostly mistakes by our boys. With that, it was a very long drawn out and difficult match to watch... and thus somewhat hard to properly rate our boys. Several of them did well overall, but made mistake that could be critical, if not because of Ali being alert at all time, or the post being there as Ali's extension.

The good:
Ali: As mentioned above, great saves when needed, not only to keep the clean sheet, but not giving Hammers any hope of the possibility of a come back.
Gomez and Virg: Hammers needed 9 outfield players as the wall, we had Gomez and Virg.
Robbo: Offensively, he appeared to be back to normal today. Pity that our front 3 did not make the connections to punch in a couple of more goals. Defensively, he still needed to pick up a little bit more.
Hendo: Did whatever the boss wanted him to do: Defensive mid, mid-right, right full back. Bossed the entire field.
Gini: Although his mistake almost cost us a goal, he was fantastic everywhere on the pitch.
Front 3 (yes, including Big Div): Chances, interchanges. Beautiful connections.

The not so good:
Fab: Really needed to shake off the rust. A bit too many mistake to my liking. Give him time to be back to peak form.
Ox: I was not entirely happy with Ox performance today. He tended to lose the ball a lot in the mid-field (perhaps they were just magnified in my mind. I will need to watch the match again). When it came to his goal, that was a amazing sturdy performance and fought off the lean/attempted tackle from the Hammers' defender. Nice goal.
Big Div: Overall, I think he did fine. I hope that he is not getting any knocks (he appeared to suffer a little bit at one point, ans subsequently got sub'ed off). However, I found it really strange when it came to chasing the ball near the touchline. He tended to leave the ball went of play, which frustrated me to no end.

My 3 picks:
1. Bobby: I thought that he was going to score another away goal if not the finger tips of Fabianski.
2. Mo: Not just because of smashing the ball from the penalty spot and have us in the lead, not just because of a beautiful pass to Ox that ended up the 2nd goal, Mo was a threat throughout the match with his dribbles, or drawing the defenders for the others to get their chances. Well done Mo.
3. Hendo: What more can I say, absolutely everywhere for the team? I also remember he was upset about Robbo not making the sprint to break Hammers. He retrieved the ball from oppositions' feet so many times.

Big shout out to Gini and Ali.

Liverpool were playing the normal game of having to breakdown a team that was setup to defend, frustrate and wait for a break. The opposition really made this a boring game, but we prevailed with a clean sheet intact, so I don't care.

Basically the entire team played well, including most of the substitutes. Fabinho is totally out of sync, desperately needs game time. I see him coming off the bench for a while, until he gets back to his best. Keita looked comfortable, I guess because his layoff wasn't as long as Fabinho's. I cant wait for next game, and then a two week break :( Luckily we have a FA cup home tie to look forward too.

19 Points ahead at the end of January, what more can you say.
Bloody magic lads, know you'll keep it going.
Motm..hard,still inclined to only pick one,so Alisson for me,but only by a whisker from Hendo.
Alisson always looks in control,a really top class keeper ,who again tonight did nothing wrong.

I assume Klopp will win January manager of the month as well.

Anyhow it’s not anticlimactic in the slightest, I won’t feel it’s won till that 8th game is won.
Everyone saying we need another 8 wins, in reality 7 would almost certainly be enough even if Abu Dhabi won all their games.

We have 14 left, there's no way we win 7 and lose 7, chances are we'd draw at least 3 even if we did only win 7.

7-3-4 would do it. Even 6-6-2. Or 5-9-0! Fucking nuts, that's how close it is.

Only saw the highlights tonight but it looked pretty comfortable. Playing most of the game in West Ham's half means not too much energy was expended. Same team on Saturday, sounds like Fab is still a bit off the pace so no need to rush him back.

Up the fucking Reds!!

Apparently according to the knobhead co-commentator on sky the penalty was borderline, not sure which of the three fouls he was talking about mind.
Yeah, heard that bellend before. Two defenders kicking the legs from under Divock in the 6 yard box, genuinely baffling how these cunts get paid for spouting this sort of shite.

To be fair I don’t think we need to win 8 but for simple Maths I’ll stick with that number. Hopefully it’s six by Sunday.

It would have been twenty two games but for tonight’s game being rearranged.
23, surely?

Not the second Wolves game, but we'd still have to play United, and we'd still have to play this game (just, earlier), so we'd only save ourselves 1 game.

Exactly ! Until it is the match which decides/confirms that thing, then I will go and do something out of character/normal remit! :D
