On a more serious note;

My line up would be Trent, VVD, Matip, Robbo, Fabinho, Gini, Keita, Salah, Bobby, Mane.

I do expect Henderson to start, however that would then be in place of Gini or Keita. We need Keita for someone to break the lines.

If Trent isn't fit, I'd probably choose Hendo over Milner to fill in.

Anyone calling this a banana skin or a must win yet?

I expect this to be a fairly dramatic match but hopefully one we emerge from victorious. We need an early goal to shake their confidence!

Even if we get knocked out, we can at least concentrate on the league but I would love for us to stay in this competition and the title race for as long as we can.

If anyone knows how to go about winning this it's Jurgen. We're a better side than them. If we 'turn up' it should be a convincing win :well done: We don't need to worry about shithouse tactics like that shower of shite we played at the weekend employ either. Looking forward to a great game :well done:

It’s a proper European contest, two real heavyweights with ten European Cups/CL Trophies between them, in a do or die contest on the night.

Can’t wait.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous. They have hit form at just the right time. Then again, they have every reason to be nervous too. We are well capable of scoring a goal or two, and they know it.

I see it as a genuine 50/50. They are at home so there’s an advantage in that, whereas a score draw would see us advance. Both teams will fancy their chances of winning but will absolutely respect the other. Jurgen going home adds an interesting subplot too.

Can’t wait for Wednesday to come.

Hopefully Trent is fit to start. If not then it will have to be Millie at RB. That's the only "worry" or doubt as I think there's only one place in question, who starts as the third midfielder alongside Fabinho and Gini? Hendo played as RCM lately, Millie played well at LCM against Watford (not the level of Bayern of course), Gini played both RCM and LCM. I don't think Keita starts, both him and Lallana off the bench which will probably mean one of Sturridge/Origi out of the bench. Robbo didn't play well in the first leg, Gnabry was a threat. It will be important to protect both full backs well. Hendo played really well in that first leg, was probably our best player, but Fabinho in the mean time made it really hard to leave him out of the #6 role. So I'm guessing it could be Hendo slightly ahead of Millie for this one.

Trent Matip vDijk Robertson
Henderson Fabinho Wijnaldum
Salah Firmino Mane

Subs: Mignolet, Lovren, Milner, Keita, Lallana, Shaqiri, Origi.

i have notes :
  • bayern will win the Bundesliga
  • bayern like napoli is fast and strong and will attack so there will be spaces and 433 speed set is good but i think 4231 smart set is better to make 3 lines act like defending lines and let the fourth line with mane as a striker waiting for fast smart pass and my selection :
........ Fabinho........ Gini............
.................. Mane...................
- redmen can win can draw fight like .. champions !
There you go, fixed it for you. Thank me later :well done:

What a picture lol

lovely details everywhere, a pink Alisson, Milner with Ribena, Mane with a double etc
Like we'd say over here on the Cannstatter Wasen, this picture leaves 'na Schmeckle'.
15 years long I could go for an afternoon and evening's drinking in the Stuttgarter Hofbräu Zelt and see max 10% of the fellow revellers in Tracht. 10 years ago one of the most hollow and fake fashion trends started and now I can't identify with what goes through the heads of the Stuttgarter who seem to think it's super cool to get dressed up just like every ignorant tourist's clichéed German.
No disrespect to our Bavarian poster intended.
