i have notes :

    • bayern will win

  • bayern like napoli is fast and strong and will attack so there will be spaces and 433 speed set is good but i think 4231 smart set is better to make 3 lines act like defending lines and let the fourth line with mane as a striker waiting for fast smart pass and my selection :
........................Becker...............
Camacho...Matip....Virgil..Robertson
........ Fabinho........ Gini............
Salah..............Firmino..............Shaq
.................. Mane...................
- redmen can win can draw can lose with honor so fight like .. champions !
:J
This is brilliant. I‘d give 10 likes if I could.

Or...wait a second. Is that you, Trap?

Salah waren schwach wie eine Flasche leer!
Oxlade Tschemberlain ist hier zwei Jahre...ist immer verletzt. Was erlauben Oxlade?
Diese Spieler mussen alleine die Spiel gewinnen..mussen alleine Spiel gewinnen.
Ich habe fertig.

Feel like this might be a bridge too far for us. Bayern at home are as tough as they come and weve been poor on the road for a while now. We didnt do the business at home in my opinion.

I'm going to go for a comfortable 2-1 Bayern win. A scrappy goal for us towards the end to add some respectability the score.
Bayern have drawn three times in the BL this year at home, and lost once. That is solid, but it is also 4 of the 7 games they have dropped points in. They also drew against Ajax in Munich. They are Bayern, of course it is going to be tough, but their home record is not much better than their away record this season.

Think Klopp will go with the safe set and that means all of Fab, Gini, Hendo and Milly, with Milly as RB. I wish we had gone with the ballsy set with Keita starting but seems there'll be fitness issue with the balls. So safe set. Smart set.
I don't like Milner at right back, especially against proper wingers, same with Hendo.

If TAA is out, and given Matip's lapses in concentration, I'd use Fabinho at right back and play Milner in midfield with Hendo and Gini (despite the lack of creativity).

A struggling full back creates an exploitable weak spot, gives the opposition a lift and sends nerves throughout the defence.

I've got my fingers crossed that TAA is ok, without him i'd rather see a slight change in formation and bring Lovren back into a 532 with Robbo as LWB and Mane as the RWB. Put Wini, Fab and if he's up for it Lallana in mid with Lallana furthest forward (Shaq if Lallana not fit as Keita defo seems outs) with Salah and Bobby up top. Of course if TAA is fit the team that played Burnley is fine.

I think a 532 counter would do well against a team that has to score but will be more concerned that we don't get one especially if it's still 0-0 at the 60 minute mark. This should cover their speedy wingers with Mane easily able to cope with that and the 3 central defenders packing the middle with either Matip or VVD more than capable of bringing it out of defense. The more i think about it the more i think it may be better even if TAA is fit with him obviously taking over from Mane and Mane taking over from Lallana and reshaping a little.

Are we going to defensive in midfield .
We’ve been crying out for creativity and now Lallana provided it Sunday he’s not mentioned in the lineup .
Let’s assume Trent is fit .
Goal keeper / back 4 picks itself .
Fab holding .then it 2 out of Gini / hendo /milly /Keita /Lallana /Shaq
If the front 3 are on fire as last season , then it’s hendo milly .
A solid midfield 3 .
But if it’s not working bring Lallana / shaq on .
Ps .
Our dead ball crosses from corners and free kicks has been well below par this season .we need to convert these into goal chances

Personally I'm of the belief that the loss of Fabinho in midfield is a bigger loss than having Milner at full back.

Matip has gone back to little lapses of concentration again.
The corner Sunday came from a header under no pressure at all.
It was damn windy, very difficult conditions. No need to be knocking him here. The goal only came about because of a dreadful referee and a blind linesman. They are the people you should be pointing your finger at Walshy.

Don’t feel safe with this one.... but then @Scott Jones opened the thread, with his longest post ever, and I know that we are going to demolish them through efficiency and power.

Think we will score 3, and Munich will score less. Then united in the quarters.
@Scott Jones vs Gary Neville. We’re going to know a lot more about each in the next 30 hours.

Trent was awful defensively on Sunday.
Milner will more than likely be played, assuming Ribery will be playing too.

I can't believe Keita's out injured for this , just when we might have needed him most. What a disaster of a season it's been for him.

Either Klopp sticks with Lallana or it's two from Gini / Milner / Hendo to play alongside Fab.

Why do we need him for this one? I have not seen enough of his contribution to be saying that we really needed him for this one. We won't be missing his eye-of-needle pass, nor would we miss his assists and certainly not going to miss his goals.

It all comes down to whether we really want this or not. Going with Origi uptop, Frimino playing second striker, Mane and Salah on the wing, anchored by Wijnaldum and Fabinho/Henderson, and bak 5 minus Alexander-Arnold through minor injury would be a perfect setup. Knowing that we are not going to be able to have more possession and over powering them in midfield, just diagonal ball to our wingers to whip it over to the centre, old-school English football might suit us for this match.

Must win, to keep the momentum going. Scraping through every time isn't going to bring us back to our consistency.

True, but two issues with that. One is that would mean sacrificing Fab in the middle of the park where he's immense.
Second, Klopp hasn't used Fab at RB yet, though he has even tried Hendo there. Which makes me believe it'll be either Milly or Hendo but not Fab.

But yes, would do a world of good if Trent himself is fit.

For North Americans, remember for the rest of this month we are on daylight savings time and Europe is not. The 8pm UK kickoff is 4 pm Eastern, not 3 pm.
Yeah, it's a 5-hour difference for me (Central Time Zone) for a few weeks. IN the autumn, it'll be a 7-hour difference for a couple of weeks. Shite either way, really.

That is the sort of English up with which I will not put!
Put up with is a phrasal verb and has two particles that are only incidentally adverb and preposition. There's no problem finishing a sentence with a particle anyway. The proscriptive grammarians have to try and justify their preposterous hatred of last position prepositions in that, as we all know, the only good English possible is that that fits Latin grammar.

I just watched Klopp's pre-match press conference. Some of the questions the journalists (English) were asking were hilarious and tedious, no wonder our manager was abit irritated at the beginning.
He's not interested in tittle tattle but really enjoys a seriously intriguing question and answering it,he has long since realised our back pages are full of sensationalist horseshit with quotes from managers being edited in such a way that it's misleading and unrecognisable from the original quote,
