I sit down for dinner. My wife is on Facebook and discovers Sturridge is at a jerk chicken spot, Flavas, about 15 minutes from us on South San Francisco. Next thing I know she calls the restaurant and actually asks if a famous footballer named Sturridge is there. The person goes he’s my favorite player and just left. My wife goes if I leave my number, could you call us if he returns.

I almost choked on my dinner watching this. Coping sort of, I suppose. I do have a great wife though.

"Oh, history writer, don't close the pages yet." This is beautiful! I wonder if he's a Liverpool fan, I know Arab football commentators are wildly entertaining but I can't remember Liverpool ever getting their treatment, we sucked in times when they were going crazy about Messi and C. Ronaldo...

Watching this makes me want to watch all the games in arabic itself even if I don't understand, rather than the boring and biased stuff the likes of Martin Tyler provides. Have no clue why he was mentioning Mourinho as well.. lol
But that passion is infectious. Makes each goal and that night even more special!

Some of the phrases he was coming out with were just amazing and brilliant. Yeah, and I didn't understand why he kept mentioning Moanrinho.

Tears of joy welled up again listening to that guy. He's an LFC fan now if he wasn't before. You don't get that excited about a team and it not change which team you want to win most.

If that had been a restaurant around here, the person most likely would have asked what year he played at Ohio State.

As @Livvy hasn't posted any more videos that play on my computer I have managed to stop crying now. Quite calm in fact but ready to pounce on any moment that reminds me of N°6 even if I do cry again. :Firmino:

(Ooooh just noticed the Firmino smiley (I bet it's been there for ages) great stuff!)

You always remember your first one more dearly.
This is not the League Cup or Europa League in 2016 we're talking about. That would have meant a lot for the players we've moved on from, but even they'd have felt like those wins were 'girls you can just about remember snogging behind the bike sheds', compared to this 'finding your soul-mate'.
