Are any Liverpool fans actually flying out for this ? Massive credit to anyone who is especially this close to Christmas.
Sky Sports News just did a few mins on them landing and geting to the hotel, they did say they are expecting 7,000+ reds to hit Qatar, they mentioned fans from China/Asia and other countries had been intouch so not sure if that 7k was UK based, worldwide or in all.

There are alot of expats in Qatar, British and Egyptian and other Arabs from their respective countries , the latter will be coming especially to see Mo.

Yeah the home Qatari fans were mentioned and how there was a pretty big LFC following in he region, they had a few fans outside the Hotel with flags and banners screaming but smuggled the team in around the back for security reasons.

Monterrey has a couple of pacey Ecuadorian wingers and Funes Mori as a target striker on the center. There is this Jansen fellow, and Miguel Layun, an experienced Mexican full back. Barovero is also in good form and has a lot of experience on big games.

They will set up rather conservatively and look for counter attack, since Turco Mohamed is not an ofensive minded manager.

Liverpool FIFA Club World Cup squad: Alisson, Van Dijk, Wijnaldum, Lovren, Milner, Keita, Firmino, Mane, Salah, Gomez, Adrian, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Lallana, Lonergan, Shaqiri, Brewster, Robertson, Origi, Jones, Alexander-Arnold, Elliott, Williams.

Origi Brewster
Shaqiri

Ox Keita
Lallana

Milner VVD Gomez Williams

Adrian

Keep our first team lads fresh for either the final, or if we go out, for Leicester. I for one couldn't care less about the outcome, just like for the league cup, or even less so to be fair. The injury situation has changed everything, and it's really only about keeping our remaining main lads fit and as fresh as possible. Very unfortunate that there is no option to rest VVD and Gomez, hopefully those two can stay healthy (anxiously crosses fingers).

Would you take a 2% reduction in first team performance (just as an example) for the 2nds winning the CC? I wouldn’t. Given where we are, not on my radar at all.
Sorry @ptt it was meant to be tongue in cheek.

But I’d love the youth to progress and the club to keep this as the youth’s cup competition. Maybe some fringe first team players can join them to keep up match fitness as well. But no, I don’t want it impacting on our first team’s performance.

Interested to see the lineup for the first game. Think there will be a few changes. Wouldn't be surprised to see Williams start ahead of Trent and Origi in the front three.

Can't find the video of Klopp's & Millie's press conference. Anyone?
