I now have seen some reports saying that Takumi is on his way to get his medical.
In case some of you didn't know.... Red Bull Salzburg played their last match for the next month and a half yesterday. Sidenote their league gives a real winter break to rest players rather than pile up fixtures in the middle of winter... and they don't play again until February 9th. But I digress.

I did find it interesting that the Haaland, Minamino, and Hwang Hee Chan were all left out of the game day roster yesterday. They ended up drawing the match and and that means the 2nd place team can catch them on points - so it wasn't an unimportant match.

So I am wondering if Salzburg lose all 3 this January as I know ManUnited and a couple other teams are seriously after Haaland (who I really hope doesn't end up at Manchester United because I think they will kill his development - I want him to go to Dortmund) and Hee-chan is also very good.
If I'm honest that's the other extreme, I'd be all for a winter break between the 3rd and 4th rounds of the FA Cup, they could even make the League Cup one leg semi final.

WE’RE SIGNING A PLAYER!!!!
I think thats all to say about this, signing a player during a title challenge? What did they do to the real Liverpool? lol
Im super excited, but also very cautious.

I don't think the player will feature right from the start but it will be good to see him play now and then eventually (i hope). Brewster going out on loan..... unfortunate but probably whats needed, and Takumi san is near the complete product and ready to contribute. Having seem him play he plays a different role for club and country. For Japan he is very much a more aggressive scorer who leads the line , but for club he does a lot of leg work and keeps possession and turns it into something fruitful. Not that he doesn't score for Salzburg , its just that he doesn't need to be the primary scorer in comparison to how he plays for Japan based on games i watch.

Never liked Fosters. I had Castlemaine XXXX many years ago, liked it since it was easy and smooth going down.

Sorry to derail the thread. :censored:
It's OK. It's only a one-off. In Japan the chances of derailment are significantly lower, however. Whilst getting to the point a whole lot faster.

Born and raised in Brisbane me, just a few kms from the XXXX brewery. Had a few of them in my time.
..or as some in my English classes would say 'beared and risen'. Taught a fair few Aussie-bound ALDI regional managers, so if you can't get XXXX at your local German discounter you know at least your complaint letter will get a nicely-worded XXXX off in reply.

Looks to be a great addition. Hard working, good control in tight spaces, quick. Klopp sort of player. Would be interested to see his recovery stats as well, seems to win it back a lot.
Who scored only have the stats for CL but these are his defensive stats (Firmino used as a comparison)

Minamino

65101.20.51.7-0.32.8--7.25

Firmino

5(1)4261.70.30.2-0.31.2--7.40

Small sample size but he makes slightly more interceptions but also fouls more, tackles less. Also gets dribbled past more easily. Six games is almost meaningless for these stats though to be honest.
