I'd want us to win before the Everton game, I know its improbable, but imagine getting a guard of honour at goodison.
The entire april and may will be carnival.

Will City be punished with a points deduction or relegation? It seems possible.
After the draw tonight, Leicester are 23 points behind on 50 and can get a maximum of 86. We need 14 for the title. 5 wins now not 6.

I'm not sure when any deducted points would actually be deducted, so for me it's still 6 wins.

I really hope we clinch it before any points deduction is enacted (although I'm sure that will be suspended pending appeal-- unless they don't appeal in order to write off this season where they are already hopelessly behind rather than roll it over onto a new season?), because it would be a real let-down to find out we won it X games ago.

Would the PL deduct points prior to a decision on City’s appeal? What a mess.

Did the premier league say that they would be investigating this ?

Anyway still sticking to 6, can write it down to 5 after the match against Norwich.

Yes they are independently investigating it too but for a different period of time than UEFA's 2012-2016 time frame. I might be overdoing the glee here, but in theory the EPL could carry out a points deduction following the same reasoning as the UEFA chamber for that period of time and then impose a relegation to League Two later when their own investigation into the years since 2016 is complete. Don't quote me on that though, it's a very early and bleary-eyed morning.

Probably decide that after we've had our celebration of winning this one and then do a retrospective point deduction for the previous seasons. Like 5 points being deducted.

No need to go overboard on their points or be too harsh to relegate them to League 2. That's just ridiculously stiff. 3 points deducted for every season starting from 13/14 and announced on 01 June 2020 would be more than sufficient ;)

would that ensure that the manures don't get the title still ?

14 more points to go, even assuming that Citeh win all their matches , and looking at how mentally fucked Citeh will be, 3 wins ought to do the job. 4 to rule out Leicester.

That leaves matches against Watford , Bournemouth & West Ham ....atleast 2 of them who'll be attempting to do with Norwich did and park 6-7 in the back.

88 pts will win it. City draw two games, one of which is against Leicester or they lose one, and I hate to say it but it will more likely be United again than Leicester, weirdly. The earliest we can get to 88 is by beating West Ham at home (Win: Draw: Lose 95:3:2 chance) Watford away (80:9:11) Bournemouth at home (90:5:5) Everton away (70:20:10).
But as in bingo and opera, it ain't over till the two fat ladies sing.

The most City can get now is 90.

Five wins from our remaining 12 games will land us on 91 and guarantee the title.

Our next five fixtures (with current league positions) are

- West Ham (H) (18th)
- Watford (A) (19th)
- Bournemouth home (H) (16th)
- Everton (A) (9th)
- Palace (H) (14th)

So I think it’s looking very good for a title winning victory against Uncle Woy on 21st March - the earliest league victory ever - followed by a Guard of Honour at City on the 4th April.

Also I would not be surprised to see a ‘surprise’ loss for City to try and avoid that nightmare scenario.

The QF of the FA Cup are due to be played that day (21st March) so should we progress against Chelsea the Palace game would be postponed. Meaning we could win it at the Etihad.

I'm still firmly in the 'one game at a time' camp.

That said, if Abu Dhabi FC drop points at Leicester tomorrow and we beat West Ham then I might start considering where we could win it. Until then I'm not looking that far ahead. Neither Watford or Everton away will be easy and Palace gave us a game at Anfield last season. If I was offered 11 points from those 5 games I'd take it.

So people saying 4 games, and that a win at home to Palace will guarantee the title, but we also need to consider Citys' fixtures as they have 2 PL games in that period away to United and at home to Burnley. Neither of these will be easy straight forward wins and losing 1 or drawig both could see us winning the league with a win at Woodison.

My god, I think i'd cream my jacks if we went into the derby with the possibility of beating the bitters guaranteeing us the league
