David Silva, Philippe Coutinho and Eden Hazard.... guess what do these players have in common? They aren't any bigger than Salah, in fact, they are all shorter than Salah. Don't see them struggling.

That's like saying why can't we win the league when Leicester City did? You don't like the lad, we get it.

I can see that - Walker is a lot more erratic, and Rose has improved significantly. At his best, Walker seems the stronger player to me, but he has put in quite a few mediocre games that I have seen.

Walker looked like someone who believes a lot in his own hype type.... so I am not surprised he is more erratic.

I'll always remember when Sterling litterally ripped Rose a new arsehole.. I thought that day Rose was possibly one of the shittest fullbacks I had ever seen.. Strange he has progressed so much, shows what I know (although I don't rate him that highly.)

Given that he only started about three league games for them, iirc, it's pretty hard to say how well he could play in England. My recollection though is he did ok on the few occasions Mourinho deigned to play him.

He also hardly got a chance, De Bruyne also struggled under Jose's Chelsea

I'm actually relaxed on whoever we buy the only concern for me are those players with injury issues in the past that join like Ox, get players in the right positions and I'm sure Klopp knows what to do.

In that if we make the CL we'll definitely be getting the players he mentions? No.

Improves our chances, that's obvious but that's all it does.

I'm beginning to think that VVD is overpriced and would rather we went for Tah for £20m and had the 'extra' £30m to spend elsewhere where it could make more of a difference.

Yes and no, you have to question why he never got a chance. De Bruyne was essentially a youth prospect and Jose's record with youth players is there for all to see. Salah was bought as an addition to the first team and only played a part in 13 competitive games over 2 seasons. Jose is a bit of a lemon but if Salah was that good he would have played him more than 13 games. To be fair I remember watching some of those games and thinking that we had dodged a bullet as well.

Just realized that Salah is a year younger than De Bruyne but I think the point still stands Salah was a lot more advanced in his development when he arrived at Chelsea

I remember watching games thinking he looks dangerous, why isn't he playing more? He was 21 and not given the chance because he was to offensive, Lukaku had the same issues and to an extent cuadrado, though he wasn't as young

Not a journo. Just one of these "ITK" types although not in your face about it as others. Doesn't tweet loads of nonsense all the time just the occasional thing. Quite often seems to be right when he says it too. But not sure I believe all this. Sometimes we are quite easy to predict.

When Chelsea signed Salah, I was of the opinion that they signed him not because they needed him, but instead to stop us getting him and us strengthening our team, specially as we where flying high in the league.

It might explain his lack of games at Chelsea, just my opinion though, and what do I know!

What could be more important than a CB. Did you even see how Lovren keeps leaking goals every now and then. I hope we dont go for another potential, when we will finally be in CL. Why not go for a bit more established players in Koulibaly, Manolas, Inigo Martinez, etc. Heck even they are not the top top class ones, which we should aspire (may be in future) - Hummels, Boateng, Godin, Pique etc.

Brandt - no more in list, which we all had been jotting down around. Now vvd is 'overpriced'. What next - Keita is 'inexperienced'?

I disagree. Elbow our way to the front of the line for the player we think will help us the most, slap the money on the table, and make a statement. Liverpool is to high on all the top ten wealthiest clubs lists to be seen as a club that can only get the second tier targets. Get him and then sign mpabbe or whatever his name is and let everyone know we aren't satisfied with only signing the players that Chelsea, City, and united don't want. It's time to turn the page on that chapter in our history. I have faith that if klopp wants whoever they'll be good enough. Sign 3 great players instead of nickel and diming our way to 6 or 7 slightly above average players like we've done for however many windows in a row.

@The Elusive 19th you lost me at Pique. The guy is all flair.

I agree that there are other centre half we can go for other than Van Dijk.

But you do get the gist, right - for the second time in last decade, we can shop at a higher level - go for those established stars. And i dont want a repeat of the catastrophe which happened last time. I rate CB as the first priority, LB second with a winger third and a CM fourth and so on. Those 4 positions - we should got for the best.

Regarding pique....you can't help but look a bit flamboyant waltzing around with a World Cup winners medal clanging against whichever CL medal you decided to wear that given day...
