TIA New Signing

That's my point.
I don't know if Jurgen lost interest in him.
If he did, i cannot see the reason.
There are not so many (potentially) world class players out there, and since Fekir's case has sailed, it's a shame we are letting Atleti (not even Barca or Real) sign him

Nope, if Klopp wanted him he would have arrived together with Fabinho.
That would be logical, but not necessarily. It would be easier to get multiple deals wrapped up together if we were talking 2 players from the same club, but does not mean it would definitely happen that way. We got Fabinho straight away, but for all we know if we did still have interest in Lemar he could have been 2nd or 3rd choice in that particular position, and if we drop that far down for that role, Klopp may easily look at higher options for a different position.

Looks like it. However I do wonder what the deal breaker was? Price, personal terms, etc.

I assume price given the figures that were being thrown round last January
For me this fella was a smoke screen for Fabinho. Threw everyone off when we sealed that deal, including the big ITKs of ours all over the place. Klopp and his recruitment team played sleight of hand with Lemar and Fabinho, making everyone look one hand while the other just got the deal done.

hugo the horrible

Ridiculously optimistic.(even more so now)
