a simple premise, you're whisked away to a secret location where you find a time machine and go back and bring back 1 Liverpool player from he past to join the current team, i figure everyone's #1 choice, like me, would be steven gerrard, but who will be your SECOND CHOICE, to bring back in their prime, the TIME MACHINE ONLY WORKS IN tHIS CENTURY, so players from the 2000/2001 season onwards only, these are your choices, vote your heart or your mind or your conscious or your balls, whatever.

Dossena, back up full back sorted and for scoring those fourth goals :p

Torres actually because we already have Gerrard and that combo was mind blowing, imagine the current team to support those two! Crazy!

Suarez probably if I remove all biases and have to choose pure on footballing basis.

Suarez and Masch. Masch can cover midfield and CB, plus is a monster.

I chose Xabi Alonso, he is an excellent reader of the game and was formidable in midfield and it was a close call between Suarez and Torres and my heart ruled my head, so Fernando won. Suarez cost us too many matches with his vampire antics.

No Agger on the list?

If I am selecting two from the list then I'm going for Suarez and Reina. Reina just edges out Sami for me because if we had a prime Reina to step in when Allison was absent we'd still be in the Champions League.

If we bring that player back, I hope he still has a version of him playing in that team. Can't imagine a team without Stevie in the 2000s! o_O

Drik and Xavi. Drik complements Klopp's philosophy so well and he can fit in anywhere across the front three. Xavi is the one currently missing in our midfield.

He's not on the list because he's an automatic inclusion.

What if our time machine could have taken one of our current players in the just missed teams of BR and Rafa? VVD maybe indisputable choice but Rafa's team defence was strong. Maybe VVD for BR team and Mane for Rafa?
