See De Ligt mentioned quite often but don't know why we'd be interested in him.

It's Van Dijk and another as far as we're concerned & we already have our own young and potentially great center back who has been playing extremely well, then you have your back ups.

Why would be pay the big fee for De Ligt for him to push Gomez out of the team or himself mostly sit on the bench?
Id much prefer De Ligt stepping into the team over Lovren/Matip. Football is a squad game.

If Klopp sees Gomez as first choice CB and rotation at RB for TAA then De Ligt would be an ideal signing.
As @Iluvatar says above I’d also much rather have De Ligt than Lovren/Matip

We'd all prefer to have top end players as back ups, that would mean we'd have a top class squad, it's not realistic though.

I don't see the club having him as a target at all, I can see utd breaking the bank for him.

It's fantasy football stuff.

Center back is the last place Klopp will spend a huge wedge on.
He might have to come the end of the season if Matip and Lovren with his overly inflated ego want out.

What's going on at dortmund? Dembele leaves for a fortune, sancho comes in for next to nothing and lights it up, pulisic drops to the bench?
Too much talent moving all over the place!

As for the links with dembele, i fear that the mane rumors have some validity if it's true.
Shakiri can deputize if he chooses to play elsewhere.
Depay and Dembele are on the market, and I'm just wondering if klopp can get more involvement from them lot.

I'd go to WHU and offer them Studge and some cash for Marko Arnautovic in Jan. He's big, strong, has technique, hunger, and I think Klopp could get more out of him that Studge in the squad.

Arnautovic's agent/brother has said he wants CL football. Go give it to him Jurgen.
Id rather have Anderson from them. Arnautovic is a wild card and could easily go down like Andy carroll or Balotelli.
Anderson is promising and i think Klopp can easily mould him into a good player.
I would seriously give Brewster and maybe Wilson next year a chance. They are promising and deserve a good chance.
Sell Origi and Sturridge and promote these two lads.

Tbh, If some club come with 100 mil for Mane id sell him. He has been very very average and looks disinterested most of the time.
Wont mind demble though if we get a fortune for mane.

Looking disinterested doesn't automatically equate to being poor in performance. I like the value he brings, he has goals in him, dribbles well and has a powerful shot.

Right now, it's in the mind that he's not able to replicate the chemistry he had with firmino and salah last season.

Fabinho on the other hand looks like he's lost a bit of confidence being on the bench. Compare this to wyjnaldum who doesn't. Playing well in the fringes is a huge requirement for klopp. Milner and henderson seem to respond well to rotation.

I don't understand the criticism of Mane. He's been a bright spark and brilliant on the whole when I've watched him. ( I'm not saying he has the best footballing brain I've ever seen) but still he has been very sharp and unpredictable. Think he's been superb this season so far.

Too late for Sancho. Might have made sense when he left city.
Although I believe he wanted to get away from the PL.

I think Man City have first dibs on Sancho, unfortunately. But if he becomes available we should be in there.

We do need another attacking player though - Pulisic, Dembele, Bailey - several good young players out there, obviously the ones I just mentioned would cost a lot. Also we already have some good talent at the club waiting to get in. I’m looking forward to seeing how Brewster grows, and Wilson has been doing very well on loan and is good enough to come back and at least give us an option on the wing.

Biggest mistake of his career was to join ManU and it seems he somehow still has a 'soft spot' for them.

Always liked the type of player he is and i think he would be the perfect addition to our squad if Sturridge leaves. He would get enough minutes because he can cover both Mané and Firminos positions. He has speed and intensity. Last season 22 goals and 17 assists in 51 games. This season 6 goals and 6 assists in 17. Also started to get on the scoresheet regularly for the Netherlands with 13 goals and 9 assists in 43.

Two years left on his contract in the summer.

Sandro the left back? Mate, we REALLY don't need to be thinking about replacing Robertson.

Agree with you on Sancho, he would be a great signing.
Robertson is playing great, but if we're looking to improve, I would see that as our weakest position. And Sandro is a highly talented LB. Thats all.

Just because he felt “Beckham” doesn’t mean he wouldn’t want to join Liverpool and there was previous when BR was in charge so the committee must’ve seen something they liked.
Would be a very good addition if you ask me and would have something to prove as well

It would be hilarious if we bought Depay and he did well. It would help underscore Mourinho’s sound judgment after having sold those other well known chumps, De Bruyne and Salah!

Is it because he's not glamorous enough? Because performance wise Robertson is in the running for best LB in the league!
I think my post was taken out of context. The whole starting 11 imo is fine and does not need to be upgraded. The bench is solid as well. But if im nitpicking, I would upgrade at LB to replace Moreno. Sandro I think would be a great fit. I also think he is better than Robo.
I agree with you that he is arguably the best LB in the league right now, but it's possible that he could be having a career year and that it won't continue beyond this year.

I think the only way we buy players next window is if we have the potential to sign an upgrade. Our depth is not an issue atm

Wow Jadon Sancho, an 18 year old english player scooped up by the Bundesliga. And we ask why can't we get players like that? Probably gonna have to pay over the barrel to get him but probably worth it. By trade a left winger to rotate with Mane. Can he play the #10 role as well hough?

To be fair, we did get one of the best left backs in the PL for £8 million, our starting right back is from the academy and the current record holder for most assists in a CL season was a free transfer. We've done pretty well with 'value for money' signings these last few years.

Sancho slipped through the cracks, as happens often with young players who get chewed up and spat out by the big clubs. Maybe the complete change of scenery was required for him to hit his straps. If anything City would be kicking themselves for letting him go, but they're not exactly short of quality wingers.

Sancho didn't slip through the net, City wanted to keep him and we also made him an offer.. He was running down his contract and refusing to sign a new one hence accepting Dortmund bid but with a first refusal clause. He is an unbelievable talent, one City didn't want to lose.

Hoffenheim also landed a scoop with Nelson from Arsenal. Unfortunately just a loan deal.
Maybe we should have sent Brewster and Solanke to the Bundesliga aswell.
